The Temple of Elemental Evil is a role-playing game based upon the famous Greyhawk adventure and created by now-defunct Troika Games. The story revolves around the rise of evil in the once peaceful and prosper city of Hommlet. The sudden appearance of evil forces seems to be originating from the once defeated and sealed Temple of Elemental Evil. The history likes to repeat and it's up to you and your party to not allow it happen again.

The game allows you to create a party, of up to 5 adventurers and up to three NPCs, and chose the party's alignment which will affect the plot and choices it makes throughout the game. The developers used a turn-based combat system which was acknowledged by many gamers as the most faithful representation of the pen-and-paper D&D 3.5 rules in a computer game. If you're a true D&D fan you can't miss this creation from true D&D fans

Does anyone know when Baldur's Gate 2 is coming out on GOG? As soon as that comes out I will make sure of the epic thread on combining the two into an awesome game

But such a sublime D&D experience once it's patched :D

I can still remember individual battles from that game, the combat system was perfect.

I bought Arcanum from gog but am having a real bad time trying to get into the game, love all other games like this but for some reason i can seem to get into it.
It feels very boring, its scope seems to be emense, its Fallout and Baldurs gate mixed up into one. Just cant seem to get into it. I must admit i have no idea what is going on and im lvl 8. :S

They haven't set out a release timetable, however I remember seeing a page detailing the release of Temple of Elemental Evil that had all the other Hasbro games shown below and three blank gaps, so my guess is that they will probably finish with BG2 as the last reveal.

Glad that ToEE was only $5.99, bought it again as I've lost one of the discs from the box, still got the manual though which is a nice thick one.

Still have a special love for proper turn based combat compared to just pause and queue actions.

What I liked about ToEE was that a single spell could change the course of an entire battle - Baldur's Gate seemed to have spells flying all over the place without ever having a massive impact, whereas in ToEE a single sleep spell could mean the difference between wining and wiping.

Love the Wooden shelf with your games on, would really like Steam to have something like this.

Click on the sleeve and see an animation of it being picked off the shelf and the case opened and a floppy placed into a drive :)

we want a rehash of grim fandango!!

after they complete the rehash of monkey island!!

lol the kids of this generation were struggling with it so they had to dumb down and make the hint section more informative...basically spoon feed the answer!!

Age of Wonders 2: The Wizard's Throne is a turn-based, fantasy-themed strategy game and the direct sequel to the original Age of Wonders. While some die-hard gamers decided to stay loyal to the original, most fans of the series were lured, and rightly so, by the improved audio and visuals, more quests, more options, and the two large single-player campaigns available in the sequel. One great thing about Age of Wonders 2 is that it's absolutely immortal. The game's community is still very active and has spawned lot of additional content like mods and scenarios, with many more still being in development. Furthermore, Play By E-Mail ladders are still up and running! Only a game of impeccable design could have weathered the test of time so well.

I remember the Underdark expansion was really good when it came out, the game itself was pretty disappointing at the time for me though, at least the single player side of things anyway.
