i525 mid to high handicappers/i230 general single figure handicapper.

Lots of mass at the sole on the 525 to help the ball in the air etc.

I think the i230 look lovely....

i230s are a players iron so good ball striking and looking to shape the ball more.

Scotland Golf weekend booked next year, playing Gullane, Gleneagles and St Andrews, just need to get myself in a place where I can comfortable walk 4 rounds of golf over 4 days.

Safe to say my handicap is creaping up ever closer to 14 now, started at 7. Shocking

Now that'll be lovely. Hope the weather is kind too.

When are you going?

Good point - I didn't know SA has 9, jesus.

Gullane, 1
Gleneagles, Kings
St Andrews, Castle

Going to mooch about the Old Course on Sunday and get a photo on the Swilcan with my pops.

Are the i59 not a players iron also?
Yeah but I've always put those in the bladed players irons category. PING are becoming similar to Titleist now with yearly releases and range on release cycles.

Amazing mate. I hope I'm one day good enough to justify a trip like that. I'd do it tomorrow if it was up to me, but holding players behind up as I try to find lost balls twice a every few holes might ruin the vibe a little xD

More Friday golf, after last Sunday my chest/ribs were a bit sore so thought I'd pulled something so no mid-week golf but thought it was good enough for today but nope, especially towards the end it was getting quite sore/almost painful to swing which doesn't help :p

On the plus side actually wore my new golf shoes for the whole round, last week I walked 18 holes on Saturday with non-golf shoes and on Sunday with the buggy I started in the golf shoes but with my backup option which I changed into around hole 7, today was much better with them so all good :)

Scored 122, definitely not playing well as I was stiff in the backswing from the start so not too unhappy really. Now off to see family so not playing Sunday but that's a good thing, hopefully it won't take too long to clear up...

Horrible weather out there but went round 18 holes.... 2 mates walked off after 12 but my other mate was on a decent score so I stayed out.

Struck ball great generally but scored poorly in the muddy conditions/wet greens

Out today weather mostly wasn't too bad through my way, course is really soft currently but still holding up pretty well.

Not a medal today but scored 77 off the yellows which is about -7 nett for me. 42 stableford points in the closing medal last week and finished 2nd, I seem to have hit a bit of form.

I'd signed up for a block of lessons and interestingly the guy wants me to be more upright in posture, shoulders more back and pelvis more forward facing (instead of pointing down) It seems really strange for me as I'm about 6ft 3. My irons now feel like they are about an inch too short but it's made such a difference to my ball striking and consistency.

where you playing these days?

42 points - that's proper bandit country :D

Haha well I was beaten by a point so not quite bandity enough!!

I'm still playing at Glenbervie near Falkirk, 10years there now and still not won a medal. 2023 will be the year though! If you fancy a game through here next season give me a shout mate

Got out for nine holes this afternoon, just about made it home before the darkness really set in (15:18 tee off). Shot my best score so far!

Didn't deserve too as I thinned nearly every shot, despite striking it solid on my range warm up. However keeping the ball advancing and only really making a mess of one hole, a 9 on the longest par 5, kept the score down. Four doubles and four singles made up the rest.

Highlight was nearly chipping in on the 3rd from around 35 yards. Ball ran right by the hole, unfortunately a little too far resulting in a two put for bogey. Had a couple lip out and 2x three puts for a total of 51.

Course was in good shape given we've had rain nearly every day for the pas few weeks. Greens were running great :)
