Yep, and Yep
Thankfully some kind soul thought to put a bench up there

Breaking 100 is definitely good progress! I'd be super happy with that for someone who hasn't been playing long. Onwards and upwards, onto breaking 90 in the future!Been making a lot of progress lately which feels awesome. I've found the confidence in my driver to start using it on the course now and it rapidly dropped my scores. Between that and a lot of trips to the local par 3 my approach game has grown a lot recently as well. Shot a 107 at Ruddington last Thursday then a 106 at Stonebridge on saturday.
Stonebridge really should have been my break 100 round, I was walking into the 9th on just +10, annoyingly there is a body of water just before the green and nerves bested me, sadly lose 2 balls in it. Add in I played safe after and went around after losing 2, that alone should have saved me 7 shots.
Finally picked up my pings last night after returning the taylormades a few weeks back when the 7i came off just 8 days after getting them. I was loaded some standard length 6.5 t100s so considering I was also using clubs I really shouldn't have been for my recent rounds it gives me even more hope to break 100 very soon now I have forgiving fitted clubs.
I know breaking 100 isn't a huge achievement but I played my first ever round of golf on the 14th May so incredibly happy with the quick progess.
Off to Ruddington this afternoon, first time using the pings on course (I used them at the range last night), so not hopefully I will break 100 but I'll be trying my best for sure.
Also why did no one warn me how expensive golf can get? Got ruddington tonight and saturday then Nottinghamshire on Monday booked, as well 2 rounds in Essex next weekend! The missus is well and truely becoming a golf widow.
The velcro straps on my electric golf trolley have lost their edge, I purchased some straps which clip together, but they’re not the right ones for the fitting on my cart. Thinking of trying bungee straps as they have a hook on the end, anyone have any experience of using them to hold a golf bag onto a golf trolley or can recommend something similar?
Not quite the same but my trolley has elasticated straps similar-ish to bungee straps, they work fine with the one caveat that the bag can 'rotate' a bit, it's always firmly attached just not locked right into place if that makes sense?
That’s exactly what happens with my velcro straps.
My round this morning was just windy, very windy. A good two club breeze at times. Iron striking was generally good which was pleasing and the two par 3's on the front nine on which I nearly always find the water were negotiated in par.....
Round today was absolutely awful... Started off wet and windy, improved to just really windy
Suffered a terrible loss on Saturday.
Decided to ride my bike to the range. Not a long journey at 30ish mins but have to go through a lot of tow paths to get there. Had the bag on my back of course. On the way back I tried to thread a narrow gap at silly speeds and crack, nearly pulled off the back of the bike and saw something fly past my right ear. Driver head snapped completely off about 2/3 up the shaft...
Had that driver head far about 2 weeks having cracked the crown on the previous one...
Is the head itself damaged? May be able to get a replacement shaft at least, bit cheaper than a new driver
@ArcticHeron that's a nice goal to set, how did it come about? Were you always interested in teaching golf/swing technique or is it something that came about after playing for a while?
