Has anyone on the forum used the Callaway JAWS MD5 Wedges..? how are they?

I ask because, I have a 56, 60 Wilson Staff Model wedges and I just can't get on with them..im looking for a heavier head, plus some good prices going around right now for these wedges..

Annoyingly I can't get access to anywhere local that stocks them to test..yet..

I'd 100% recommend the T22's Mizuno - currently reduced in price due to the new T24. I love my T22 Demin copper wedges. Bargain at £90 online just now in most places.

I have 54/58 already and been very impressed with them.

I'm a sucker for the new shiny so ended up with a set of T24's, in denim copper obvs, lovely clubs though and realistically there's nothing between the T24 and T22 so yeah they're a bargain right now.

I got the 48 degree first (weird-ish set, 48, 54 and 60 cause of a 42 degree PW in the Dynapowers) and even with that on short chips I'm getting spin/check on the ball, it's crazy :D Now got the 54 and 60 as well, not used the 60 all that much yet as I need practice/to get comfortable with it but definitely happy with them.

@booyaka thanks for the advice on the wedges mate, but I went another route..

I popped into my "local" American Golf to see what they had in the way of wedges in stock, and they had two types that interested me. These were the Cobra SnakeBites and the Mack Daddy 5 wedges.

I feel in love with the MD5 clubs, and decided to pull the trigger about 10 minutes ago online! Compared to my forged head on the W/S wedges, they feel bottom Bottom heavy, which I defiantly prefer.

Will update once I get them, which is probably Friday now. Unfortunately my area of the UK, DPD are a two day courier. :(

no worries - enjoy - hope they work out for you better than your existing wedges.

Need some gratuitous picture's when they arrive! :D

Out today for a round, weather was/is still nice and although it's still a but muddy out there there's starting to be more bounce/roll a bit. Of course it's now gonna rain tomorrow morning to ruin everything

Scored 100 and really annoyed with myself. Started solid, bogey bogey double-bogey, then went on a bit of a hot streak with 3 pars and a bogey so +5 through 7, very good for me. Ended the front 9 in 46, tying my best ever but also +11 so not a great 8/9. Back 9 was going 'ok' but absolutely fell apart on the last 3 holes, again. Should've been a solid mid-90 but stupid brain says nope.

I was also pretty knackered by the end, playing 18 on Friday, carrying 18 on Sunday and 9 yesterday is still a fair bit for me so yeah, definitely felt it in the last 5 holes or so.

Writing this I think what I need to do is something I saw somewhere which is to identify the 3 best shots, feels like maybe I'm not being exactly positive about the round :p

3 things you were happy with and one thing you need to improve on - not something you did bad.

That's my go-to post-round thoughts.

I actually have two 56 degree MD5s, one with low bounce for firmer, tighter lies and the other for thicker lies. Both factory default at standard loft and lie angles. Love them both!

can someone advise me on the best place to sell clubs? Im actually struggling atm to find anywhere. Would Golf Bidder be my best bet??

There's quite a few sites now that buy old clubs. I've used Golfclubs4cash a few times and they're decent, but no site will give you a relatively fair price for them. Your best place would be Facebook Marketplace if you want a decent chunk.

If you're really not bothered about getting too much for them then it might be worth checking your local pro shops. A few near me buy old clubs in exchange for store credit.

Recently sold to Affordable Golf/American Golf - they send you a label so you can just wrap it up and send it off via DPD for free.

You can get them to quote and they will match anywhere else. Cash was in bank the next day after they got it
