Back to Belleisle course today to start the season....

Front tees but straight into a qualifier for a season long knockout.....

Easy/cruising on front 9 - no drama, almost boring golf

Then just seemed to be in between clubs the whole back 9 - couldn't decide what to hit etc.

Solid enough +7 for first comp of the year.... Should get me in top 16 net scores for knockout competition.

19th Birdie of the year on 9.

What is your go to ball guys?

I’m kinda annoyed, I was in my net for a solid 100 minutes, hitting the Callaway Chromesoft X RTP balls, I have some TaylorMade Speedsoft with the “dots” for the launch monitor to read spin axis and they felt so much softer, better control and sone extra yardage.

Only them and newly added is the Pro V1 RTP balls, but that’s another £70 for a dozen. Not happy.

Srixon AD333's for me at the minute and fall back to the Kirkland balls if/when I run out before restocking.

When I get more consistent I'll maybe move up to a more premium ball.

Good balls. I will be using the newish, TM Ink balls, they are good value for money.

Pro V1x

Everything I want in a ball....Super durable, spins lovely off the wedge, launches nice height for me and feels soft off the face of the putter. Slightly more "clicky" than Pro V1, but I've been X for a while now.

Usually find someone selling mint/AAA+ balls on facebook etc - usually get at least 1 full round out of a ball, then I use them again for bounce games/winter games etc.

Buy an odd box throughout the year for "special" rounds/tournaments

Usually pick mint ones up for like £35 for 20 balls etc. When your paying £500 for a driver, don't skimp on a good quality ball.

Iv played with mostly Srixon balls, found Ad333 are the best for me and usually buy used from sliced golf 36 for 28.99 for grade B what are surprising good!

I will die on the hill that you need to be something special to care about a ball.. A talented golfer is beating me around the course with a slazenger even if you give me the most expensive ball in the world.

Wow, that is a great price!
They are a great price, you should have seen the face of one of my golfing buddies when I pulled out my box of balls. Showed him, the condition of the balls and how much I paid. He looked sick, considering he had just bought a brand new box of 12 and lost more than half during the round.

Currently trialling a dozen Chrome Tour balls, impressed so far, will reserve final judgement until the season is well underway but these could become my go to
