Out today, Garmin reckoned after the round on Friday and doing nothing yesterday I still had like 50 hours of recovery to do, I'm sure golf counts as recovery right? Did I mention Castle Combe is a hard walk?
Somehow didn't manage to maintain the form from Friday, I think in at least some small part I talked myself into a bad round, after all no way I could do two rounds back to back is there? Shot 95 gross, +25 on a
much easier course than the +12 at Castle Combe! But hey, weather was good, hit some decent shots in amongst the mess and even managed a birdie, didn't manage that on Friday
In other news I may have sighned myself up to what may be too much golf... Signed up for the NCG tour events are Aberdovey and Royal St. Davids on the 26th/27th May, then decided to add a couple of other rounds whilst I'm over there, then there's a society game on the Sunday beforehand, then a knockout match when I get back and the Club Champs the day after... All told I'll be playing 18 from Sunday 24th until Saturday 31st inclusive, maybe Sunday 1st too if I'm not dead by then

Looking forward to it though
I played at Dunston Hall in Norwich for a golf trip with work friends, and it was so much fun.
But, I was so bad on the first day that I nearly lost all of my balls and I shot......wait for it..... 162!!!! Genuinely unbelievable how bad I am. I am still a beginner but that really made me think this game isn't for me! I shot 125 the next day thankfully. I think I need lessons.
Good improvement though!
Golf is hard. End of.
My first round was a 128 but that was definitely not playing to any proper rules, or even counting all shots, so basically a complete lie. I can barely break 100 some days still and that's after 3.5 years and a whole lot of golf!
Lessons are a good starting place, and starting as a beginner is probably the best so you don't learn too many bad habits
