Golf Thread

Just back from my lesson. Everything I have been working on in the net is totally fine and correct from the pro.

My main thing was takeaway coming round and then looping over the top.. got stuff to work on. Mabye every 5-6 weeks get 30mins to “touch base” with my progress..
 
4 for 3 on Pro v1/v1x 2025 deal currently doing the rounds. Expensive I know but rarely seen deal.

Played 12 last night - lovely to be out but as I said at the weekend - DEEP concerns about the greens and lack of water on them... Literally crispy and so dry already....
 
^ that time of year for golf ball deals. Golfbidder kindly sent me a £25 voucher to spend on anything (excluding shipping) yesterday. Promptly had a look on their site and found a 3 for 2 offer on Srixon Q Star Tour. With the voucher it brought the cost down to £1.72 a ball inc. delivery. Hopefully I can make these last through the summer comps!

with my Scottsdale discount these work out @ £137 for x 4 dozen. decent tbh
 
The Masters starts tomorrow, who do you think will be wearing the Green Jacket, come Sunday? Could it finally be Rory’s year?
I’ve had a little e/w flutter on Bob Macintyre and JT.
 
I'd love to see Rory win, and I think if he did then he could go on a spree of major wins, but just can't convince myself to believe :p

Got small bets on Rory and Aberg to win, cause why not.

Min Woo Lee as an outside bet too coming off his win...
 
I really want Rory or Fleetwood to win, but Scheffler looks locked in. The greens look absolutely insane, I'm convinced us mortals would be going round at August in 100+ easily.

Yeah a bit disappointing coverage tbh, not sure what the broadcast rules are but this segment with Faldo and David's Atm sucks, wanna see some bombs getting hit and the pro's deal with these greens.

Strange round today.

Front Nine had 3 birdies, 1 par, 4 bogies and a triple....

Back nine was poor as well..

Strange - 3 par's today... Felt like I struck ball well most of the time but greens are dry / rock hard and just impossible to chip on to/land a ball on etc....

Lost ball up the last so NR but one of those rounds, can't decide whether I'm fairly happy with it or not!! :laugh: :laugh: .

Still for the record - 21/22/23rd birdie's of the year so far.
