Golf Thread

Out early this morning for a round, got wet for the first 9 holes but it dried up for the second half

There must have been some issues with rain overnight as the course flipped the 9's, so we started on the 10th and I had the worst possible start.....drive straight down the middle, a 7i to the green and I left the eagle putt short but tapped in for birdie

The rest of that 9 went rapidly downhill after that start in the wind and rain as I just found bunker after bunker, snap hooked a tee shot OB and then didn't quite have enough to cover the water

The second half of the round was a bit better but it was a tough day on the course overall
 
He's making it so hard on himself. He's got away with it all week because his short game is immaculate.

And the lead is one......

Cam Young getting some breaks today, 3 times now gone into the trees and its bounced back onto the fairway.

Rory needs a good couple of Par 5s coming up to get going again as he's having a bit of a wobble currently
 
Rory in the woods again. His driving has been terrible all week and its getting worse. Caddie needs to take the big stick away from him
 
Pressure getting to everyone on this back 9 apart from Burns who is going along nicely. Young too though he has had some look and also been in the water.

Wildly windy here yesterday as well.... blowing seriously strong winds and we are off the back tees for the first time all year :laugh:

Actually held it together pretty well all day - didn't feel amazing ball striking but kept it in play, chipped and putted pretty well.

Shot 77 for 70 net so very pleased with that in the conditions.

13 pars, 4 bogies and a double at the last :confused::confused: - Saying that I would have taken a bogie 6 before I tee'd off.... 530 yard par 5 - playing like 600+ in the wind. Mate I played with hit driver, 3 wood, driver off the deck to get there....

Might get a small cut will see.
 
Out again today, missed most of the rain which was good and played ok, it was the society game at Shrivenham and scored 33 points, 2 blobs and 1 double but the rest were pars/bogeys so solid if not exceptional.

Got the first round of the Summer Knockouts at my local on Friday afternoon, so definitely gonna want to get out there a couple of times in the interim, not gonna try to change anything but just try to get a bit more comfortable at my local again, that or get my head in order at least :p
 
I played 3 rounds in 3 days, the first one was bad and I got worse each time :cry:. Today hole one I hit my best drive in a while, green in reg and proceeded to 4 putt, it didn't get much better from there ha!
