Not all real ciders are like that. Sheppys bullfinch isn't. Even westons organic isn't a rough cider.
He asked for proper cider and as above plenty of real ciders that aren't rough ciders.

Magners and the like are over sweet apple alcopops and as I said it's like comparing an alcopop to vodka.

No they are not. They are not made from fermented pears. The pear is an added flavour. The are pear flavoured alcopops and nothing more.

Had Brothers Tofee Apple Cider the other day...was sickly sweet but very nice. Also saw a ginger version so will have to try that.

Also the Stella Cider out of a bottle is rather nice as well which is surprising considering I hate normal Stella.

Had some the other day and I'd rate it one above Strongbow, definitely not the nicest Cider I've ever tasted tbh.
