This is depressing. He says he does 12k but I'm sure he could have found something similar.

Assume 7ppm excess on a lease - thats £560 extra over the term

However, and A180d SE is the entry model - it's a £22k car. The A200d AMG Line is £25k - the premium and night another couple of grand (list price) so it's more than 20% more expensive.

He still got a horrible deal, but you cant compare to the base spec car.

Here's an equivalent car on a PCH

Works out at 14k over 3 years plus the excess mileage. I dont think he'd have got that car any cheaper particularly by leasing, but it was still a poor choice!

It's the £2k worth of options which bump up that A200d AMG line car. Any deal where you are paying full RRP is bad though.
What I found interesting is, on the AMG line Night Package only adds Privacy Glass add costs £495 BUT the Privacy Glass equipment option is only £260 !!

"Night package" sounds way cooler though

It looks like it's black detailing too

Night package. For a truly distinctive look, the A‑Class AMG Line can be further enhanced with the Night package. It includes black door mirror housings, black beltline strips, 18" AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels painted in black, as well as privacy glass for the rear windscreen and rear side windows.

Privacy glass is actually really useful from a practical perspective - being able to leave stuff in the back without being visible to passers by is really nice. I suspect thats not why most buyers are selecting the AMG Night package though!

Is anyone leasing via the NHS Fleet Cars Scheme? They have some good deals. MKIII Octavia VRS Diesel for £345 per month for EVERYTHING - literally just add fuel.

This looks good. - lots of room, quality interior and enough performance (150bhp)

Audi 1.4TFSI Sport Avant
Spec includes xenon lights, sat nav, cruise, keyless go and rear parking sensors.
£190 per month x23, £1,140 initial payment, 5k miles per year. £5.5k total cost over 2 years.

Not a great deal really.
My Golf R is about the same, even factoring in servicing, tyres and insurance.

That does look good, but I enjoy my 2.0TSI so a 1.4 would feel very slow. 5000 miles is also very little. I do almost that just going to work and back.

True but I'd need the bigger car. Personally, I'll probably just stick with buying used cars, even though it was a right stressful hassle last time as I just couldn't find what I wanted :/

Don't get obsessed about engine size. New 1.4 petrol turbo engines delivery the same or more power than older 2 litre units. How old is your car?

Just booked a test drive with Leicester Audi who apparently on the phone said they have the 1.4tfsi model to drive. Will be interesting to see how it drives. The 1.4tfsi is 150bhp and the 2.0tfsi is 190 iirc
