Denial...a winning argument.
No it was encrypted; I thought 5.0.1 had solved many of the issues but back to back with the n5, the n6 was slower in some tasks and more jittery generally. Lollipop has caused all kinds of issues with older hardware and forced in encryption was a silly thing to do given the performance hit on the n6.
I don't have time to fiddle with phones anymore, I just use them out of the box hence not disabling encryption. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I was shocked at how smooth the moto g on kit kat is compared to n6 on lollipop.
At the moment the n6 is a slightly hamstrung giant phone but with solid hardware. I think this will improve as in the future foibles should be polished away and Google will integrate proper phablet features natively.
