What more do you need other than Google Play?

I just wanted the calculator tbh. I'll look into another way of getting it tomorrow.

EDIT: I assume it's out there as an APK somewhere. Just need my phone fully working for work so can't keep fiddling with it tonight.

Anyone noticed the GPS going screwy if Bluetooth is turned on? I normally use Runkeeper to track my runs and the GPS works pretty well... today, this happened:

(I am not even close to being able to run 5 minute miles :p )

The only difference is that today I happened to leave BT turned on. Has anyone else noticed a similar problem?

Cheers,

Su

]Phone case saved my bacon today. The screen would have been a gonna for sure if naked. Got out the car with the phone in my lap. Flew face down onto the pavement.

That exactly how I cracked my SG4 screen
(Which happened on Christmas day :()

It was in a flip/wallet type case but the flip flapped open and it landed on the screen..

I would have been soo annoyed with myself if it got a single bit of damage. It's certainly cemented my choice to always run with a case. It's a Spigen one with a meaty sized lip.

My phone of out of surface space now, mostly photos and videos. They should all be synced to Google Photos, but I wonder whether they are downsized at all?

I wanted to backup all the photos onto my PC but the PC doesn't see the phone, Windows 7 or OSX Yosemite. Any ideas how to get the phone to show in Explorer or Finder?

You might need to change the USB connection mode; after you connect it, you'll see an item in the notification menu for this. I think the default is set to "charge only" but you can change it to MTP for transfers.

Yes, I saw the options come up and changed the setting. Windows sees it in the Devices but not in Explorer.
Nothing happens on the phone or Macbook pro when I connect it.

If all else fails, can I trust Google to have synced and backed up all the photos and videos without compression? I'll do s factory reset and start again.

I thought I'd made my mind up to get a Nexus 6P as I wasn't holding out much hope for the htc 10.
Now the 10 has been released I'm torn between the two phone so yesterday I decided to pop in to one of the stores so I could see what the 6P was actually like. Well I have to say I was a little underwhelmed, I know it is supposed to be machined out of a block of aluminium like the htc phones, however when I tapped the back of the phone it sounded like it was about 0.5mm thick.
After seeing an earlier post where the side of the phone had bent and came away for the side I'm now not sure I want a 6P. I'm a bit disappointed as I thought it would be more robust.

The Nexus 6 build quality is pretty good imo (Moto have always been good on this front, even with their cheaper phones). The only thing that's a little but dodgy for me is the micro USB port.

I'm not surprised the 6P isn't too great on this front...

It just didn't seem to be too solid when I tapped the back of the phone. Don't get me wrong it's a nice looking phone, but I'm not 100% sold on the build quality, especially after seeing that photo earlier in the thread where the side has come away from the phone.

Oh, decisions decisions, 6P or htc 10

I've noticed some real lag on my Nexus6 of late. I flashed back to stock and still no improvement.

Any suggestions on what I can do? I've avoided running any sort of rom other than stock. I've also never rooted. I'm not averse to doing either.

Also, I have heard mention of adblockers you can install once you have root. Anyone able to explain what these are and is there one I should use?
