£600, wow. I thought the Nexus used to be priced competitively.

EDIT - just seen it's closer to £400. That's better.

seems rather optimistic - where did you read that?
remember the US dont pay Vat so for instance $649 = £405 + 20% = £485ish which knowing how things work here will get rounded up to £499

*edit* http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/prices-leak-for-google-s-nexus-6-and-nexus-9 well they were bang on with the nexus 9 pricing so maybe £449 / £519 for the nexus 6? not cheap but not overy horrific I suppose

I think the idea was with the Nexus 4/5 they compromised to get it at a cheap price point. The 6 seems to be a new venture in that they haven't compromised and made what they consider their showcase phone to show off Android.

You can't just convert 650USD into GBP to get the landed price...

I didn't convert anything, I was commenting on your post saying £600.

I read the link provided http://www.knowyourmobile.com/device...il-november-18

For those who are or were considering a Droid Turbo (currently available in the US from Moto), I found this review today. I am not impressed with the capacitive keys rather than virtual keys that will be a feature of the Nexus 6, but I have to admit, a 2 day battery between charges is impressive.

It's currently between the Turbo (probably coming to the UK as the Moto Maxx by the sounds of things) and the Nexus 6 for me. Before the Moto X 2014 was in the mix, but the battery lost it for me.

Motorola are doing well from me this year! Last one I had was a clamshell many, many moons ago.

After having non nexus phones nothing will take me away from stock andriod again. The n5 is still the fastest phone going overlays and addons don't work in android. Just slow it down

I've only heard good things about Motorola's additions - essentially just adding things in, which it seems the Nexus line are also adding (e.g. the active display, which I think is now stock Android 5.0?).

Others, like Samsung and Sony...just dire from my brief experience with them. I'm still on my Nexus 4, and it's still extremely smooth with just slight stuttering on opening apps such as YouTube.

More info coming out on UK launch date and some pricing from PC Advisor today. In the link they mention conversations with mobiles.co.uk and clove.

Mobiles.co.uk will put the Nexus 6 up for launch on 18 November for release on 1 December. Clove plans to launch on 18 November. Neither has pricing info.

Mobiles.co.uk confirmed it will stock the Nexus 6 in black, white and gold starting at £28 per month on O2 with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1 GB of 4G data.

I had not heard about the colour gold. Nor black. I thought it was midnight blue and white. Go figure.

Intresting. I would like a black version. Still out of contract so would consider a contract version of the phone. Although I like google warranty if you buy direct.

Bascailly whoever can put the phone in my hand first wins my business

£28 a month, if they haven't mentioned any up front cost is it safe to assume that it would just be £28 a month for £0 upfront?

I was expecting £30-35 a month so I'll be happy if it's less.

yeah i am paying £16 a month for a sim only plan,

so an extra £10 - 15 a month for the phone is no issue. i guess when a phone reaches a price that that N6 is then a contract becomes a viable option. the N4 and N5 would always work out cheaper to buy up front and to SIM only when 4G was not fully rolled out you could be paying £10 a month for a SIM only deal.
