Wednesdays will apparently be restock days for the Nexus 6 on the US Google Play Store, according to a comment left by Google last night. Interesting to keep abreast of US Play Store developments as a harbinger of things to come here?

In other words, expect a bun fight.

yeah sounds good, least that will save the site getting hammered daily

"We are getting more Nexus 6 devices in stock as soon as possible. To make things simpler for you, we will work to make more devices available each Wednesday and encourage you to visit the site then.

The Nexus 6 will also be available in AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular stores later in November. Please check with your local carrier store for more information."

I prefer a combination of hard outer and softer, shock absorbing inner. But that of course adds quite something to overall dimensions, unfortunately.

The Google Bumper I bought for the Nexus 4 was utter crap - a short drop onto its side had the entire screen out of action. So I got an appallingly cheap one off Ebay that turned out to be better made than the Otter Box Defenders I've seen on many an iPhone. Added on a Tech21 screen protector, and it survived many impacts from varieties of angles, including onto the screen.

It was this case here, that's interestingly increased in price: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amzer-Dou...ck-/200922912443?ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:3160

The Moto X should have been a mini version of this, but it's really not.

It misses out on being equivalent to this in pretty much every way, unfortunately.

Not really, it pretty equal in most parts.

S801 vs S805 is mostly a better GPU, Moto X has less pixel so performance should be similar.

1080p vs 1440p again the Nexus 6 is bigger so needs more pixels or it would have been a downgrade, the Moto X is again slightly behind not a huge amount.

Camera 13mp I believe the Nexus 6 has a newer/better sensor.

Battery life, this is the big one but again we shall see how 1440p effects things.

There pretty comparable I say, with the Moto X being a bit slower but costing less and not needing as much power.

I'm struggling to work out why the Moto X is as expensive as it is

Unless the likes of the S5, M8 etc etc have had a recent price drop, the X looks expensive to me.

anyway.......I've read a few reviews on the N9 and N6 now, and nearly everyone has commented on how laggy Android 5 is. Seriously? after 5 major versions they still can't get the thing running smoothly. That can't be right can it?

Where have you read that Android 5 is laggy on the Nexus 6?
