Actually a bit cheaper than I was expecting which is good news. Am I right in thinking there's only one 'international' version? Could it potentially work out cheaper buying whilst abroad for example?

@e36Adz

So your thinking is as follows?

33 pounds pm times 24 months or pounds 792 versus SIM free purchase at pounds 549, a difference of pounds 243 is a better deal than getting the month to month deal for 4G for a t least 10 pounds pm elsewhere (if 10 pounds pm could be obtained).

The only disadvantage I can see to your plan of course would be the fact that you are locked into a 2 year contract obligation which would be a factor when and if you want to buy the Nexus 7 (I am an optimist)!

As you said, if you get the contract at £33 a month then it works out you are getting...

Unlimited Txts
Unlimited Calls
5GB Data 4G

For ~£10 a month, which imo yes is well worth it, if o2 reception is good in your town/area. Try finding an iPhone 6+ for anything like that. Even the Note 4 deal disappeared pretty quick and I've not seen a similar deal for it yet.

If you can get the £2 discount as some of us managed to do then the contract above costs you £8 a month which is even better. I've not been with o2 for years but since going back to them I've found I get 4G signal around my home and work and when out and about in Manchester. With 3 on their unlimited 4G (I tried them on payg for 3 weeks) I was getting below 2 meg at home and work! So in that respect, I don't even regret moving back to o2 (yet!).

Originally it was expected that the Nexus 6 was to be released in the UK on 3 November rather than the current plan of 18 November. It seems to me that the main reason for the delay in releasing the N6 in the UK and probably in the US in big numbers yet has been the issue that was reported some weeks ago with battery drain affecting Android 5.0. According to the Android developer preview logs, battery drain issues were resolved only on 5 November which has prevented until then the official OTA release of 5.0. With news in the US that the new Moto X is receiving 5.0 as an OTA currently, it appears the issue is now fully resolved.

Bring on 18 November.

Since my Nexus 5 even with the drain gets very good battery life compared to the wide selection of KitKat roms I've been on then the final/official should be great. The Nexus 6 should be awesome on the battery.

Do we know if Google is shipping the N6 devices on release day, or aiming for them to arrive on release day?

If the former, then I'm considering grabbing it from Carphone Warehouse on release day.

Yup that's what I meant. Even better would be if Amazon got them in on time but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Been scouring the net for some contract pricing but nothing about.

Just wondering if it's going to be better buying out right and sticking with my current GiffGaff £12 a month sim or trying to obtain a good 2 year contract. Nothing to compare as yet though.
