T-Mobile's launch due tomorrow (in US) has now been postponed till 19th because Motorola have failed to deliver enough units to even let stores have demo devices.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the 18th pre-order date for us gets pushed back even further as Motorola try to deal with the demand in the US.

@Phantom Shadow

I read the release a little differently. T Mob US has assessed a less than satisfactory launch experience for customers (especially for in-store touch and feel sampling) if it went ahead with 12 November as originally planned. It seems to be saying that by next week, the supply constraint will be lifted to give customers a very good launch experience.

So with this I read that Moto has opened the taps (or perhaps Lenovo has) and has pressed the pedal to the metal for supply to flood in. Perhaps the international launch on or about the same date that T Mob US is going out is saying that we can feel better about supply by then.

My optimistic read-through.

According to their sources Motorola failed to make the planned delivery over the weekend.

Motorola don't seem to have done much production at all and keep failing to meet deadlines. Though if T-Mobile have only moved a week later, then hopefully you might be right that they are expecting a big turnaround from Motorola.

Wouldn't surprise me. Motorola have been pretty **** at releasing products in 2014. Not sure on their previous years as never wanted one of their devices.

For reference only, here is The Verge's summary of the state of play of the Nexus 6 in the USA. Bottom line: Tough sledding.

It looks like next week will be when the US buyer should expect stock at carriers/operators AT&T, T Mob and Sprint. While AT&T and Sprint are expected to launch as early as today for AT&T and Sprint on Friday, choice and stock seem limited. The Google Play Store US has agreed to restock every Wednesday.

Best review so far is somewhat worrying. It seems they used storage with very slow sequential read and write, actually some of the slowest around and it really hurts the experience. Most reviews are talking about stutters on the Nexus 6 and this is why. I'm pretty shocked and disappointed they used such poor storage chips... Very disappointed they sacrificed performance to cut prices.

The Nexus 6 has a sequential read speed of ~60mb per second, which is pretty much the lowest around. The Note 4 for example has a speed of ~163mb per second.

In our experience, the Nexus 6 was slower than the Nexus 5. Apps took longer to launch, tasks took longer to switch, and sometimes—particularly during heavy multitasking—our Nexus 6 liked to get stuck and pause for a few minutes while it thought about things. It would often "chug" during our normal usage and in general felt like a slow device.

jeez, deal breaker, I`m experiencing similar lag with Nexus 9 though not as bad as this sounds. This sounds like a disaster if accurate.

I think the Nexus9 issues are more software based, as in I don't think Android is quite running perfectly on a 64-bit chip yet. I expect that the Nexus 9 will improve with a few new releases.

However the Nexus 6 issues seems to be a hardware limitation which is altogether more worrisome and something that will always effect it. This years Nexus lineup has disappointed me so much... it's like they are trying to kill the Nexus line.

Yes I would hope so, most apps and tasks are ok on Nexus 9 but every now and then a spectacular lag (5-6-7 seconds) occurs, I have 4 days left to decide whether to keep it, which i prob will.

Anyway off topic, I really fancied this phone but if it is as slow etc as they describe due to hardware limitations i`m def out as will lots of others I would suspect.
