^^That's exactly what's holding me back from buying the Nexus 6 I literally could not get to grips with the One+

I'm very clos to buying the X2014 but questions about the battery life and camera performance remain.. I'm hoping under Lollipop that both elements will improve.

I too am undecided now. The Moto X 2014 features just seem so very useful (the rather more active 'Moto Display' vs. the 'Active Display') and smaller footprint.

The battery and camera are also holding me back though.

The camera experience on all Android devices under 5.0 is going to drastically change. There will be a plethora of camera apps that maximise every cameras potential. The catch is that the current default camera app doesn't utilise the new 5.0 camera API I am guessing an update to it is in the works but at the moment reviews on camera performance will be misleading.

There is already a camera app that utilises the new API for the Nexus 5, the results with it are improving every day. In a years time the camera debate on Android cameras will be very different.

Check out this reddit thread for a detailed rundown from someone testing the app on the Nexus 5.

Camera is not good mate, took some night shots with it and it feel apart even the Nexus 5 was better. In day light its not too bad, it seems its mostly bad software so 5.0 could really fix things. Battery life wise its like Nexus 5 ++ given its 2300mha and a bigger display which I would assume is not as good on battery life (I believe Samsung on sells last gen oled panels.). With my GF usage she gets 30-40% more then her Nexus 5.

My colleague sat next to me just received a iPhone 6 Plus and have now held that in my hand and it's not really that much bigger than my Moto G 2014 (1.8cm longer). The nexus 6 is slightly bigger than that so it feels good. Not too big for my longsih hands.

I'm sold, just need to find that elusive contract.

Thanks for the heads up Mate. Even just getting 30-40% more battery has sold it to me, I don't really take pictures and if I do it's mostly for Twitter and WhatsApp.

I've decided to get the Moto X 2014 instead of the Nexus 6, as I seriously doubt I can handle the size of the N6.

Are there display models in the shops yet?

Even the US doesn't have display models yet, and it's looking like T-mobile (which is meant to be launching the nexus 6 on the 12th over there) doesn't even have enough stock so only a few of their stores will have display models.

I don't expect the UK to get display models in November.

It's a far cry from an Apple product launch. It's the one thing I wish every company would copy.

Indeed, Order my iPad Air 2 without a hitch, woke up at 9am on the day (1 hour late) got my device 1 day early. Google really needs to get ontop of things, the whole thing has been horrible, if LG gets 5.0 out before my Nexus 5 the nerd rage I will feel :@.
