Second thoughts about Carphone Warehouse! I did not really appreciate that there is a growing relationship between Google and the Dixons owned Carphone.
Did you know Google are working with Dixons Carphone in the UK to set up areas within stores to showcase Google products such as the Nexus range of phones and tablets, Chromecast media player and Nest thermostats. Google has a similar set up for Chromebooks at PCWorld.
Clearly Google is not into building standalone Apple-type stores, nor probably will in the near future. They seem to be saying to retailers......we are your friend, unlike Amazon. Our concept is to create a shop within your shop, or as Google Express Delivery (in US only so far), offer same day delivery with our employees in your warehouse packaging and distributing goods.
So with that in mind, I put Carphone right up there in terms of importance with Voda and O2, if not higher. Perhaps that explains the exclusivity thinking on the 64GB Cloud White Nexus 6?
Let's see what happens with delivery from Voda, O2 and CW.
