Second thoughts about Carphone Warehouse! I did not really appreciate that there is a growing relationship between Google and the Dixons owned Carphone.

Did you know Google are working with Dixons Carphone in the UK to set up areas within stores to showcase Google products such as the Nexus range of phones and tablets, Chromecast media player and Nest thermostats. Google has a similar set up for Chromebooks at PCWorld.

Clearly Google is not into building standalone Apple-type stores, nor probably will in the near future. They seem to be saying to retailers......we are your friend, unlike Amazon. Our concept is to create a shop within your shop, or as Google Express Delivery (in US only so far), offer same day delivery with our employees in your warehouse packaging and distributing goods.

So with that in mind, I put Carphone right up there in terms of importance with Voda and O2, if not higher. Perhaps that explains the exclusivity thinking on the 64GB Cloud White Nexus 6?

Let's see what happens with delivery from Voda, O2 and CW.

Just cancelled my order with CPW as I really don't want to have to deal with them if the device develops issues.

Will either wait for the 64GB model to appear on GPS or get something else.

think il leave the order with handtec, pre order now with carphone warehouse, see if i get it quicker with them, if i do then cancell the handtec order later on.
sounds ok?

The choice of operators this time next year may well be different.

BT is in talks to buy either O2 (it originally owned them) or EE. This morning rumours that Voda may be in talks to buy Liberty (US owned) which owns Virgin Media.

Hmmm...

Paid off my handset balance on the refresh plan and rang to upgrade.
My tariff was Unlimited min/texts with 2Gb Data (£18p/month 24month) so they offered me unlim txt/min+8Gb data for £30.
I said that's too much so I'm going elsewhere so they offered me Unlim text/min+5Gb data (4G Included) for £19p/month for 12month contract.

Its just a sim only deal as I've ordered a Nexus 6 from GPS.
