Google Pixel 7/7 Pro & Pixel Watch

The Curry's extra £150 per trade-in is better than ordering a 7 Pro direct from Google with a discount code - even if you buy a case, stand and charger.

I got the discount direct with Google but I'm not fussed enough to cancel my Google order and go to Curry's.

There are benefits to going via Google too.

- Better RMA
- Free stuff comes immediately instead of up to 90 days.
- You don’t have to faff with a trade in.

7 Pro ordered with 6% voucher from Currys (£840 voucher for £789).

Hopefully the £158 trade-in offer for my 3XL will be easy to claim back. Also worried they may not send the watch/buds in conjunction with the trade-in offer but you claim on a separate site (https://promo-rewards.com/2022launch/en-GB/) and I cannot find any terms where they state you can't and the receipt will only show the full value I've paid anyway.

So potentially only cost me £631 plus the Buds Pro on top which I've decided I want to keep.

I was tempted by Google just for speed and simplicity. They offered up to £71 for my 3XL (with broken screen) plus I get 10% kickback from having a 2TB One plan, but I have zero interest in items from their store so for me their offer is lower than the 6% discount I get at Currys. If I only get the trade in 158 or the Buds from Currys it's still a better offer. Fingers crossed for both though!

Some of these are really impressive and others not so much, like it's missed focus slightly.

Pretty decent on the whole though.
Agreed, those photos look really good in terms of exposure, colour and detail on the whole.

@mrk those better than the compressed video photos? :D

Fair enough but I will be faffing with a trade-in with Google directly, to get £100ish for my Mate 20 Pro handsets.

The biggest benefit for me is not having to deal with Currys :p

I really want to get the new Pixel watch and was going to just buy outright. I'm half way through my contract with a Pixel 6 pro on Vodafone and was qoted £398 to buy out the rest of my contract. I could then get the pixel 7 pro with a free watch. I i also could see my contract out and get the new pixel watch and phone at that time. Do they carry on doing the free watch deal at various times of the year?

I'm pretty sure it's a pre-order promotion only.

Edit: Although if it's just watch you are mainly interested in, there should be quite a few brand new and sealed pixel watches popping up on the MM over the coming weeks.

I was hoping for a bigger leap in terms of CPU performance on the 7, but it's looking like it's only going to be a minor improvement.

I'll probably give this generation a miss and wait for the Pixel 8, hopefully my Pixel 3a can still stretch towards then - it still does everything I need it to, plus I've put in a new battery.

I'll keep an eye on the MM, good idea.

Looking at the trade-in stuff, Google store gives you up to 14 days to send your old phone back rather than having to leave it immediately at the Curry's store. I'd like to have my iphone with me while i move everything over rather than having to rely on the cloud and do it all via my iPad

Quick numpty question.... I've got an EE esim in my 6 Pro, is there an easy way to transfer that to my 7 Pro when it comes, or do I need a new esim from EE?

Google really need to swop the power & volume buttons round. Using the volume up to take pictures on a Samsung is so much easier. It's a faff on a pixel phone.

When I bought my 6 Pro at Currys online, I sent them my old phone after my 6 Pro arrived. They give you 2 weeks, same as Google.
