Yep there's an option to turn off the display in bed time mode or there is on the 6 so I'd guess it'll be there on the 7Setup bedtime mode, that might disable it perhaps, or certainly dim it

That's weird that's the protector I've got and I'm finding the fingerprint reader 100 times more responsive than the one on my Pixel 6 (without a protector). I've been really impressed with the 7 Pro in comparison to my 6.I just put a JETech screen protector on my phone - its more or less killed the fingerprint sensor 100% (even with the Screen Protector Mode on)..
Needless to say that is coming off for a refund.
Poor signal areaCan people on EE post your signal strength in the SIM Status tab please? dBm and asu?
Would appreciate. TiA.
I'm 4 days in and totally agree with you. I much prefer my 7 Pro to my old Pixel 6. No fingerprint issues, face unlock, no over heating, works with Android Auto first time. Thinking back to the first few days of my P6 I had loads of "teething" problems. At the moment I can't find anything to complain about.I don't post often but wanted to post a review of my Pixel 7 Pro.
Having owned most Pixels including the Pixel 6 Pro , it appears Google finally have it right with the 7 Pro.
Had the 6 Pro but ended up selling due to the awful fingerprint scanner , bad mobile reception etc. Been running with an s22 Ultra since launch and it's almost perfect once you get rid of a lot of the bloat, anyway purchased the 7 Pro just to give Google another chance.
Great news is the fingerprint and face unlock are practically flawless, mobile reception has been great so far and the camera is as good as ever.
Only 24 hours in but battery life appears great, first thing I recommend is you run the update. Had a few bugs before this.
Also, turn off animations in developer mode as it speeds up the phone a lot, I do this with every phone and it makes it more snappy.
Linked mine ok as soon as I got the phone on ThursdayThat's weird, i've already linked my Starling card/account to my google wallet on my P7 pro?

I think I've bugged something out either in Google account or with the bank.Linked mine ok as soon as I got the phone on Thursday
there is an option. it's under bed time settings. not sure the exact way but you need to have a bed settings that after x time, when plugged in, it turns off the screen etc. i currently have this.No option sadly. The should indeed add this
Thanks for the recommendation but I've already packed the phone up (didn't even bother turning it on after seeing it had a scuff on the back) and ready to send it back tomorrow along with the Pro Buds and charger. No excuse for brand new products having marks on them. Completely put me off Google.I've used these in the past and they've always been good
settings>security>face and fingerprint unlock>face unlock>skip lockscreenI've had the Pro in hand for a couple of hours and liking it so far!
I have a question; how can I remove the 'press the unlock icon to open' screen? I'd like it to bypass that when my face is detected

What NOT to Do With Your Pixel Watch
As the great Forrest Gump famously alluded to while running his way across this beautiful country of ours, **** happens. That is the case for one reddit user who owned his brand new Pixel Watch for what we assume was about 10 seconds before it was introduced to gravity and... #Google #PixelWatchwww.droid-life.com

Open app drawer, press 3 dots in top search box, toggle always show keyboard (Based on my Pixel 5)
Open app drawer > Open the search by tapping on the input > Hit the three dot menu > Preferences > Top option should be "Always show keyboard"I'm afraid this doesn't seem to cover it. It's not even mentioned in the advanced tab from the 3 dots
