Ultrasonic is the big thing I miss from my old Nexus6p.
So much better, optical is definitely worse, not as reliable not as fast.

optical FS on pixel 6 is slow ale can be unrealiable
hence everyone wants a better one
hardware one on piexel 6 and earlier was the best, and quickets

The optical one on the P7 is alright but still fails to read every now and then when using a glass screen protector.

It's also in bright sunlight where the optical ones struggle. Though if its just for unlocking your phone then face unlock can take over.
Would they differentiate the 8 and 8 Pro like that though?
The pixel 2s fabric case was sooo nice I would love a fabric one for the 8
Who knows mate. It is more expensive to implement an ultrasonic sensor after all. We'll find out soon enough.

Thanks for confirming. That's the problem with rumours. They're hit and miss.
In regards to the main cam looks like we have F1. 7 aperture now vs the old 1.9. Some more light. More bokeh and more fringing.

I had very few issues with the 6 Pro one and absolutely no issues with my 7 Pro.This is a demo of the Pixel 6 Pro fps I did back in 2022 showing it works just fine. Not superb, but not as bad as some made it out to be.
