Google Pixel 8/8 Pro & Pixel Watch 2

Plenty of leaks. Ultrasonic reader, cam sensor sizes, flat and brighter screen on pro to name a few. Day 1 upgrade for me.

It looks like it will be a better upgrade than the 6 -> 7 (which I only did because I had so many issues with the 6). But it depends on the pricing for me whether it will be worth the upgrade this time. I hear the price will be higher...

I have a pixel 6 atm so would be tempted to upgrade to the pixel 8. I'm not jumping on right away this time, I will wait for some decent reviews first.

I was also thinking this, normally there is loads of leaks etc. Maybe that's a bad sign :/

Google store does always seem to have a nice little bonus if you buy soon after launch though.

I think it was the watch with the 7, and some headphones with the 6, if im not mistaken

Last year with the 7 Pro I was able to stack 10% student discount with the phone and free watch deal. That was sweet.

That was knocked on the head when the Pixel Fold got released.

I was looking to upgrade to this when it released, but my phone suddenly died a couple months ago, and I had to get a new phone as a stopgap. Ended up getting a Pixel 6a which should last me a little while now, so I'll keep an eye out on this with a very eager eye, but probably won't be looking to buy till next year most likely. Hopefully there'll be some discounts by then.

The thermometer is a bit of a weird one, and I'm still not a fan of no microSD in flagships these days, but the flat screen and improved camera sensors seem like a winner to me.

Watch will be free with the 8pro I think.
Say what?! I would definitely be buying the 8 Pro on release if this is the case. I guess we'll only know for sure once the pricing is revealed?
I've got the 2TB Google one package too so I will get 10% in Google store credit also. Might be going for it on release after all :D
I've been thinking about this for a while but never got around to signing up. The 10% off does interest me as the saving on the 8 Pro (and watch if not bundled in) would more than cover the £80 cost of this.

People tend to exaggerate too.
The only and big problem with my day 1 pixel 6 was about a month in an update that couldn't be rolled back made it totally unable to get signal indoors. Even got a £100 credit for my woes

Hope they've atleast learnt from that one because I really do fancy the 8. Especially if it has a good freebie with it :p

The 6 has been a great phone since it was fixed
