Google Pixel 9 Series (9/9 Pro/9 Pro XL/9 Pro Fold & Pixel Watch 3)

Didn't want a fold but when a deal comes up I just can't help myself....

So 750 with buds pro 2.

S24 I bought back in May for 280. 914 trade in Wtf.

And to top it off an extra 166 G store credit as I signed up to the 2TB one plan temporarily.

Oh yes. And and 3% quidco

Deal of the year.

Cancelled that order and reordered.... as TCB were doing 10% cashback. That's now tracked.

Potentially... Makes the fold a 300 quid upgrade over a boggo s24. Sheesh.

I took the plunge last night and ordered the P9PXL, trading in my 7 Pro.

With the extended trade in, free buds, 10% cashback through work and store credit it was too good to pass on...

My theory....

No not really. Plenty of costs go unrecognised. Google is still looking to gain market share and uses its conglomerate businesses to subside these discounts.
Samsung do the same thing regularly with heavy discounts a couple of months after launch of devices, I can see other Android manufacturers following suit shortly.

Apple on the other hand....

Offered me £325 for my Pixel 6 which is starting to show its age, tempted by 256gb pro XL.

My car has just cost me £2k and I really dont want to finance it, but the interest free Klarna option is tempting.

Less money for the pros
700 odd

Thanks, I just checked.

Choosing the 9 Pro you get £720 for a S24 (doesn't matter the storage size)

This is quite tempting as my S24 was a double storage, £100 trade-in any phone, free Buds, discounted price etc deal. I think after selling the Buds it cost £375 and now Google will give me £720!

The Buds are only available on the Pro XL and Fold

Weird how when I trade my phone in against a Pixel 9 Pro XL it offers me £325 for my pixel 6. When I trade it against a regular 9, it offers me £265.

I wish I hadnt seen this thread, I got a really good deal on the pixel 9 128gb (£400), ideally I would have gone for the 9pro with 256Gb. Now it seems I can trade my Pixel 8 in and get the the pro 256 for £550 with free buds..... tempted !

Need to stop coming in this thread, every time I do there's someone talking about some sort of deal that I can almost man maths into making it worth swapping my 8 pro for :o

Never had any interest in a foldable but now I'm eyeing that up because deals

Well this didn't last long just caved and bought the fold to give it a try.

Got 5% off through work plus 5% cashback, £715 for my 8 pro and even if I only get £100 for the buds it's still miles cheaper than taking a contract out for one. Plus the 10% store credit for my Google one membership.

On the other hand I might find the foldable isn't for me and it gets returned.

The old girl has arrived...

First impressions... The hardware is certainly more impressive than the specs and YouTube hands on lead me to believe. The weird symmetrical front actually looks good and unique in person. The interior display looks excellent and it's a joy to browse photos on.

Ordered my P9PXL Wednesday evening and already out for delivery today.

Only issue is I wanted to use the store credit to order a case and screen protector but stock availability is understandably rubbish.

I've got a similar issue checked to see which fold cases are available to use the credit and unless I want the bright green Google one the answer is currently none :o
Although I am now considering keeping the buds so might use the credit to buy another set to stick on the bay.

The Google branded stock case for the fold is supposed to be terrible, very slippery.

Also the fold is weighty as it is so I'm going naked.

How's the feel of the phone? The fact it seems to be sensibly matte finished on the back and sides means I might do the same as that's really the main reason I've been using cases because everything is as grippy as a bar of soap.

It's weighty when closed and using in one hand resting on the pinky. And in the pocket.

Otherwise is fine when open and 2 handed.

It's a secondary phone for me so won't get the usage I do with my main.

I'd forgotten what ocuk with signatures looked like as I'd been exclusively using mobile view for soo long. That's changing with the folds expansive screen. Large but dinky and the same time.
