Google Pixel and Pixel XL

If you're offered RMA by Google it's a really easy process. They send you a new phone out via next day delivery and you keep that and send the old one back.

I'm enjoying my Pixel XL but also tempted by the shiny shiny that has been released recently. Thing is, I had an S7E last year and the hardware was great but the software was laggy and stuttery. The Pixel just doesn't seem to get to that stage. It just runs and runs and runs and is always fast and responsive.

So Google said they'd swap the phone. I questioned with them if it would be refurbished or brand new and they told me it would be brand new.

I sent it back to them Wednesday Morning, and it's out for delivery and will be with them by the end of today.

They told me once they have it back, the replacement phone will be shipped to me.

Ah right, OK, sounds like Jimlad is correct then. Even so, hopefully you'll have the new one soon!

I sent my pixel back via RMA after the screen developed burn in issues, mine wasn't bought from the Play Store so I had to play the waiting game. I did receive a brand new phone though in retail packaging so I now have two sets of chargers and cables which is nice.

He won't get that service as he did not buy from play store. He will need to send the phone in and they will replace with refurbished

Tracking Number tells me it's going to be delivered on Monday.

Four working days, can't fault that at all really!

Used my pixel a lot at the U2 concert last night. Out performed my mates iPhone on the pictures. But man did it fail hard on video sound recording. Almost everything distorted (we were front row) where as the iPhone was pitch perfect.

Not something I have noticed before

^^ :D

Have to say still love my Pixel. I wish I did't have a case on it - but I just don't want to take that chance - although I haven't dropped it, I know I would as soon as I remove it.

I have a spigen case, and it's great - very protective, but maybe a bit too bulky.

It's not showing any signs of lag or anything - at last - a phone that keeps performing despite adding lots of apps and data onto it. IT's just a shame they didn't do a 64gb version.

Not sure what the next evolution can bring - what's missing from the Pixel that would make it better?

My number one gripe about this phone - I think it needs more improvements with the screen, I always set things off on it if I grip it too tightly.

For me, for Pixel 2 - I'd like to see a better design and water-proofing.

It's not a bad looking phone but the design is pretty bland and uninspiring. Water-proofing would also give me a bit of peace of mind with such an expensive device.

My Pixel is out for delivery today. Coming from an S7 which I've had since November but just getting a bit bored of it.

Looking forward to the camera and live wallpapers.

Unfortunately, my phone appears broke after less than a year. The mic isn't working. I get crystal clear audio if headphones are plugged in, but no one at the other end can hear via the normal way. :(

Let's see how good CPW are with warranty...
