Google Pixel and Pixel XL

Really? The S7E has been out a while and is still like £500+ no?

And I don't think the Pixel will get discounted, they are trying to keep it super premium.

£470 for the S7 - not the Edge. Not advertised at that price but if you ask for the best deal they can do this was the offer - well known High Street stores.

Have you seen one in the flesh? a lot of people are saying it's very different to how it looks in photos / videos

Yes I have one. The build quality is no better than a OP3. And the design is on par with something like a Moto G.

Just to add some context - the Note 7 looked and felt like a £700 phone, the iPhone and Pixel, feels like OP3 levels i.e. £3-400.

I have to agree with Kona on this. Although the device is good it did not look like it's worth £719 for the base model.
I've seen it in the flesh and the black is rather charcoal and the front and rear are not the same colour at all.
Although the rear glass is not as bad in the flesh it is still ugly.

I would say the S7 Edge is leagues ahead in terms of design and looks and is more premium.

Having said that I do want one purely for vanilla android and the updates.

Wow! specsavers for you my lad. The OP3 isn't in the same league. :o

You have your views, I have mine and i have both phones in front of me. The only standout feature on the Pixel is the camera IMO.

The overall package is a good one, but other than the camera nothing is really standing out to me when you consider the £819 my phone RRP's for!

Having used front and back I like back expect when its at a desk. For everything else it just feels better. my finger naturally rests there, were as I have to stretch my thumb for a front finger print scanner then move my thumb back for the touch screen.

Thumb is natural for me. Can't say I've ever stretched it.
Maybe I'll give it a try.

I know I'm a bit late to the finger print scanner debate and the problem when your phones sat on the desk. If you've got Google assist set up then "ok, Google" solves that problem very nicely.

And look like a **** in front of your colleagues, friends and family - no thanks :p
