nige i agree, he has been a PM in waiting as such, which is funny because the deputy pm should be the natural PM to be, but the party is in such a state that everyone knows that the DPM would never be considered and should have been sacked a while ago!

crazy

I don't like him.
Half of me thinks Blair should have another term, but he has been in a while and he has failed to deliver in a number of areas so perhaps its time for a change.

Unfortunately the only alternative is a Conservative party thats trying to imitate Labour.

I think the best outcome would be to have a Labour leadership contest and for them to win the next election with a new leader (not brown) who can deliver on the things Blair can't.

I'm more concerned about his motives than his ability. It's the civil servants that do the real work, and on the whole they are relatively competent. I believe his policies would be even more outrageous than some of Blair's have been. I also think he would be more of an individual leader than Blair has been, less prone to seeking the counsel of his cohorts and minions. If we had the right man for the job that would be fantastic, but I am convinced Brown is not such a man.

David Cameron, GQ Politician of the year, is the one to back.
I can't tell if you're being ironic or not :)

Incidentally I voted equally as bad as Blair, because I don't believe anyone could really be worse than he has been.

There is no way I am going to vote for Gordon Brown. My wife and I have both voted Labour for the last three elections but we're switching this time. Aside from the problems that Labour are having, I cannot and will not vote for a man who has spent the last couple of years snidely knifing his boss - the leader of the country - in the back at every opportunity, simply so that he can get his hands on the big chair. And try as he might to deny it, the last couple of weeks has all the hallmarks of an attempted political coup. Doesn't that speak well of his interest in serving the people via democratic government! In my view that kind of a man is exactly the kind that should never be able to gain any real power. Two-faced, snide, weasly scum. I may not like everything that Tony Blair has done but at least he seems a straight up guy (most of the time).

Prime Minister Gordon Brown?! - Hell no!

Labour/Blair/Brown have also done a lot of good in this country, especially with helping to provide services to the deprived areas and provide access to these services to the people who need them to help try and make their lives better and maybe turn some of these people around and help break the cycle they have been born into.

Yes, all of us with our comfortable homes, clothes on our back, food in our fridges and common sense all complain when we dont get anything ourselves... is it ourselves who need the additional support?

Yes, lets all vote Tory and keep the less fortunate/unlucky where they belong, in the gutter

How about lets stay with Labour and continue to push our country into a place of mass imigration and helping companies to work elsewhere rather than in the uk.
