GPU Hardware Survey - What Are You Running and Why?

Resolution : 1680 x 1050

GPU/GPUs : Nvidia ASUS GeForce gtx 970 Strix direct cu 2

Because : thought it would be a good upgrade from a 2gb 6950, and a copy of witcher 3 and batman arkham knight

Extras: Games I am currently playing are Witcher 3, GTA V, CS GO, Battlefield 4

Resolution : 1920 x 1080
GPU/GPUs : Gigabyte Windforce 670
Because : Im waiting for 390x/fury to launch before i decide which way to upgrade along with a 4k Monitor
Extras: Games I am currently playing are Shadows of Mordor (on Medium cause 2GB Vram) and Remember Me

Resolution : 1920 x 1200

GPU/GPUs : Gigabyte 2GB 7870 (with a 15% overclock over stock)

Because: 2.5 years on and nothing in budget (£150-£180) offers much of an upgrade. This card was a massive upgrade from my GTX 460 and the overclock gives it performance like a 7950 (or 280).

Extras: Surprised how well GTAV looks and runs with Very High textures. Would like to move to 1440p in the next couple of years.

Resolution : 1080p Sony tv

GPU/GPUs : 290x Lightning

Because :I wanted to upgrade from 7950 and have something monsterous in my case window so when ocuk put it up for £259 with civ beyond & gold reward, well how could I resist.

Extras: plays everything fine for me with high settings cool and quiet.

Resolution: 1920x1200
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 SC 2GB
Because: I'd had AMD cards for a couple of generations, but when I had problems with different 7870's I decided to go NVIDIA.
Extras: Fairly decent performance, looking to upgrade GPU again but the rest of the system needs doing first.

1080p @ 60Hz

290

not looking to upgrade at the moment, plays everything at settings im happy with, my blind eyes it seems like everything is going through a blurry filter anyway :)

Resolution : 2560x1440
GPU/GPUs : AMD 290 X-fire
Because : One of my old cards died (7970s) and they're currently fit for purpose
Extras: can't remember (I've had these things a long time)

Resolution : 1920x1080
GPU/GPUs : Overclocked MSI Gaming GTX 980
Because : Amazon dun goofed on the price at launch and were selling it for £299 so fancied having one power efficient and silent card to replace and outperform my sli 670's
Extras: I love it, pretty much silent even when pegged at full load for ages, still runs everything fine at 1080p .

resolution : 3840x2160
GPU : currently a single 970
Because: I had an R9 290, which suffered from black screen issues, the 970 was a cheap alternative at the time. I have quite a few AAA titles I want to play but I'm currently waiting to see what AMD bring to the table next week before deciding on a 980ti or AMD equivalent. (well the best single card for 4K I can get for £500-£600).
Untill I get a new card I'm happy replaying through Skyrim at 4k as well as DOTA2 and WoW. Once new card arrives it's going to be batman all the way!

Resolution : 3440x1440
GPU/GPUs : 980 sli
Because : i got them at a good price and could not see anything coming out to match the performance for what i paid for them
Extras: gaming at 34" 21.9 is gert lush

Res: 3840 x 2160
GPU: MSI 290X 8GB
Because: Got the card when running a 1440P display with the intention of SLI when upgrading to 4K, now waiting to see how fury performs against 980ti before committing to next cards.
Extras: Elite Dangerous in 4k is amazing
