How exactly have I ignored it? I just addressed the pricing discrepancy, and commented about the non-US market pricing variations. Since when would they be trying to shift excess stock anyhow, with this sorts of card, they know the market for it and make as many as they need, adjusting production based on demand of volume globally. It's not like the other GPU's they make and sell to AIB's etc, this is all controlled internally so over supply is going to be non-existent in the first place.

I stand by my comment, the price increase is meaningless until the USD price shifts upwards.
 
NV probably trying to make a little more from the TXV now that they're dropping prices on the mainstream stuff. Anyone paying £2700 for a card will probably pay £2800 :).
 
ok am i correct that we should expect a Titan Xp replacement near the release date for the 1180 release. If i am not wrong the 1180Ti should be 6-8 months later, is this correct?

Going on history, yes, but they may do things different. Txp was out about 2 months after 1080 last time if I remember correctly

You can still only buy a max of 2 Titan Vs and they have put the price up.:eek:

Having said that you can buy a max of 10 Titan Xp cards, shame SLI is rubbish even in 2 way mode.:D

I've given up with Sli, just shoved my other 1070 Ti card in my spare machine and sold off the crappy 730 GT it still had in there. Way overpowered for what the machine needs given it's mostly a server :p
Didn't OCUK say short supplies until end of year? Just noticed max purchases on anything other than the TXV is now 10 pieces.

1070 Ti still £419.99 where I'm looking but indeed they have dropped the 1080 price.

Miss my old TXP, if they dropped a LOAD of money off those I would be tempted to pick one up, even though new cards just around the corner. I'm talking £650, very unlikely :p

I have run Titan Vs in mGPU without SLI and it was pretty efficient, sadly the same can not be said for gaming and SLI which is total garbage.:)

I have a feeling that Crossfire and SLI will be making a big comeback in the future as the vendors won't be able to cope without it.

2160p/144htz on a graphics heavy new game will flatten any next gen card from NVidia or AMD.
 
Prices have been creeping steadily downward for a little while now, 1070's now available under RRP on OCUK for the first time in recent memory. Those Gigabyte figures show demand has nosedived.

Think Nvidia will have to stimulate demand for Pascal with further (substantial) cuts to clear out inventory.

When the 1080s came out there were some serious 980ti bargains. £300 a pop if I remember, if the same happens with the 1080ti after the 1180 has been released (I don’t mean £300, but cheap) it would be better bang for buck than the new cards, warranty and would last most people til the 7nm cards...if the 1180 is a pascal refresh with barely better dx12/Vulcan support it might be a smart move...

I cant see this happening TBH. Maybe Dual chip cards infinity fabric style something but thats about it.
