Gran Turismo 7

Cheers, I was just using the Aqua for Daily A. I just did the Super_GT thing of putting all the "Racing" category parts on it and then used the power restrictor to knock it down to 147. That took me to a 1:37 and I know if I hooked a lap up a bit tidier I have a least a low 1:36 in it but not sure if at this point if there is anything specific I'm meant to be tweaking.

I think that was my start car, I'm just about to pop on, so i'll see what pp its got to be at, but sounds like you have it there now anyhow :)

Had a go on this around a mate's house earlier. Does anybody know who to turn off, or move, just the the driver list overlay so it doesn't obscure the rear mirror?

OK, no idea what crazy amount I just spent on this aqua, but it now has a slightly limited 147hp, exactly 1000 kg and wide body, aero, aloys ,race tyres/suspension and still retaining its stupid CVT transmission
Next race at 8, lets see what happens :D

BTW widebodies are a cop out in this game, just bubble arches no proper kits.

EDIT: First ever online race, Second by just under 0.6 second, pleased with that, though there was a bit of a panic on entry when it told me I had to use the stock comfort tyres. Why it doesn't tell you before entry what the full stipulations are ....

Finally beat A10!

Wheel Stand Pro was delivered earlier. I think I actually prefer the Ikea Eket cabinet setup I was using before... Wasn't as stable but lighter and takes up less space.

It’s in the display setting. Race info, all on or all off. You can also change your position if in cockpit mode. Push yourself up and back. Helps a bit.

I'll add you shortly.

I added all the weight reductions and then the ballast and got my time down to a 1:34:586. I think there is a little more I could get with a tight lap and maybe tweaking the settings.

Edit: Knocking the T/C down to 1 and lowering the car some and I've managed to dip into 1:33.961

It did say about the tyres but you had to scroll down to see it, cause it's not that important obviously :p

Is there anything more annoying than working your way up to a good position in a race only for there to be a heavy downpour on the final lap so everyone just flies past you while you slide around like bambi on ice?

Should be caning the Online then, around 2 secs faster than me and I have had 2,3,1 in that order ... I removed the 5th as i was spun out on purpose by someone
I had a few in the other daily race, managed around 6-7th places for a few. I was using the Yaris Performance, seems the fastest guys in the lobbies I was in were using VW Scirrocos, Mitsi Evo V and Porsche GT3 RS (991).

:p .... its my age I tells ya !

 ... I was doing a race at Le Mans and it started to spit, got very nervous then, but it held of the downpour and although the spray was coming of the rear of the car it seemed dry enough to keep my pace.
It is cool, the changing weather, but not fun in the wet.
I think I did RB Ring in a downpour but after I realised, I restarted with full wets fitted.
Maybe it tells you somewhere before you begin, and I missed it, I appear to have form ... @SKILL :D

Yep. On the 7th lap of a 10 lap race. I didn’t pack any wets either. I had hard racing tyres on so had to quit the race lol

Players who purchase the Standard Edition of Gran Turismo 7 on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 digital version for an additional cost. Players who purchase the PS4 version on disc will need a PS5 console with a disc drive to upgrade to the PS5 digital version. PS4 game discs can’t be used with the PlayStation®5 Digital Edition.

sweet thanks @hyperseven for the info im after a ps5 console with a discdrive, so i can buy gt7 on disc for my ps4 and go whack into a ps5 im guessing :)

This says it's an extra $10 so I would assume the same in pounds.

Upgrading From PS4 Disc
Before getting started, it’s important to note that you can play the PS4 version of GT7 on the PS5 without any issues. You just won’t get any of the visual upgrades or super-fast SSD load times that come along with the current-gen version. Also, you will need the version of the PS5 that has the disc drive.

First, pop your disc of GT7 into the slot, then head on over to the PS Store on your PS5. You should see an option on the game page that will let you upgrade to the standard digital version of GT7 on PS5 for $10. Since it’s a completely different console version of the game it may still take a while to download and install depending upon your internet speed.

Completely stuck on international b 10 at trail mountain, 0.2 off gold and can't seem to do anymore on controller.
Going to plug in the fanatec see how it is, was hoping controller would be fine and flog the wheel.

This one brought back some memories of B-8 from Gran Turismo 3, which I spent HOURS trying to gold; it's obviously a homage to that, although the GT7 version is way easier to gold, I think due to car handling being a bit grippier and steering more predictable, even on a controller. The same tricks on GT3 mostly apply in GT7 here too though. You can stay fairly tight inside the first corner so you can brake in a straight line for the second, make sure you apex with the curb and feed in the power early, but gradually, then on the next corner either lift (or in GT7 I think you need a very little tap of the brakes) to again stay on a fairly tight line on the next corner so that your entry to the tunnel is way out on the right, using all of the track. Then you can lift slightly and try to clip the outside exit of the tunnel on the left and stay inside the yellow hatched lines, feeding in the power as early as you can without hitting the outside of the second tunnel. I found, on GT3 at least, most of the time to gain in this test is that last corner. You need to get the line just right, staying close to the inside rocks all the way and getting on the power as early as you can so that your exit speed for the straight is as high as possible.

You would think so... it's my line off the last corner and how I take the first corner you have to brake for that is giving me all my time. Means first lap I'm at the mercy of everyone else. I've won twice but the rest of the time I'm getting used as cushion.

I watched the replay for the fastest time on that track and they bang into the barrier on the first corner you brake for. I don't know how they didn't get a penalty for it.
