Gran Turismo 7

I guess they're trying to get the 'i must have everything immediately' players to buy credits instead of playing the same race over and over for hours.

EDIT: Servers still down, not being able to play the game if there is no internet or the servers are down is terrible for the game.

Almost 5 extra hours of maintenance now, lol

wow the nerfs to payouts, really don't like the direction they are going on with this game now

There's a Trial Mountain race you can earn 95,000 from with a Clean Race bonus.

We are extending today's scheduled maintenance for the Gran Turismo 7 servers. We ask for your patience while we work to complete the maintenance.

[UPDATED: 17 March]
Due to an issue found with Update 1.07, we are extending the current server maintenance period. We will confirm the completion time as soon as possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience while we work to resolve the issue.

Yep servers still out, and what is with the forever and a day load times when there are no servers, not that I can do much without them, as mentioned we shouldn't need to be online to do any of the career/offline races. :(

Agree the payouts weren't great to start with, now these reductions in payouts are BS.
It is so geared to get people to pay to play think all reviews need to be rewritten taking this into account.
I paid over the odds for this digital game and still they want more, pure greed.

Gran Turismo is the definition of grinding. What's wrong with everyone.

20 Sunday Cup races just to save up for a Turbo for your Demio A-spec so you can compete in the Clubman Cup and win 1000 credits a race. Those were the days. That's partly why the campaign is so damn short on 7. They literally GIVE you all the cars and money you need.

Yeah I'm happy with a bit of grind to get the credits. Makes you have to decide carefully how to upgrade cars to win. Hasn't been an issue for me so far at all. I will spend a long time playing this game so not in any rush to finish and collect all the high value cars yet. I thought playing the game to progress was part of the fun. If anything, it's too easy to amass a collection in GT7.

Managed to get all the licences gold now except for S, since I didn't do the dirt one before the bug was introduced. Still managed to bronze it but can't see the point in trying to get gold until now the patch is in. I also have still to gold S-10, since I ran out of time yesterday but I think it should be do-able since I could get silver on one of the 2 laps where I actually got to the end. Such a brutal test, especially on a controller.

I wonder how long this is going to take.

It was supposed to be 2 hours but seems server came back online for a minute or 2 then been offline since.

As for the grind, I have fond memories of grinding GT2 with the Opel Tigra. Midfield raceway stands out but can’t remember if it was a championship or one race, all I remember was it paid well and was easy.

It’s hard to say about GT7 since no-one has been able to connect long enough to see all the races. But the patch notes suggest less money for the short races but more for the longer which is the way it should be. Sure it will take longer to earn credits but still hardly that slow as it was.

The update on the website saying there is a problem with update 1.07 only has the day of the last update, rather than the time. I would guess quite a while yet!

Luckily its season change in FM5 today, so a few new things to do in that game instead.

I think that is the one dislike I have with this game... Being given everything. I went from crap car to super car in no time at all.

Not just me then. After a disappointing week with Elden Ring I came back for a nice drive only for this. So the game is unplayable when they go down for maintenance at a time when everyone will be playing it, nice.
There should be an offline mode if this is going to be a regular thing tbh.. also, I want some official GR1 or 2 races.

Maybe I'm new fashioned but grinding on a racing game Is pointless.

Your supposed to spend time learning a specific car and track until you smash really good laps and that can take 50+lap's to do so. That's where your supposed to grind and work towards. Not stupid cafe missions lol .

Honestly they should have majority of cars unlocked and you do series races.

Learn the track and car and get competitive online
