Gran Turismo 7

Now the patch is out I've destroyed the IA tests and got Gold on them, it was wild how easy IA3 was when you actually have the right tires on the car. Now up to the Super License and shed a tear when I found out they were all lap-attacks as I'm terrible at them. Saw the nation and manufacturers cup was there too so going to put plenty of practice in for them as well.

Now the tyres are fixed, i just finished getting all gold on the licenses, then all gold on the first 3 missions.

I need to do the 30 laps on Tsukuba in rain with fuel saving to finish the 4th. 5th & 6th missions just unlocked with all these cars i just received.

I'll give those new championships a go if I'm about when they run.

Ib10 is driving me insane. I've spent about 3 hours trying it, probably atleast 300 tries . I'm 0.013 seconds away from gold and i just can't beat this time

Yeah it’s up logged in just now. Small patch and we’re good to go. There is an explanation and apology on there as well. Storm in a teacup as usual.
Im not sure it was a small patch - took 10 mins+ on fibre to download (both times) , I guessed they had to re-issue the whole patch from a few days ago that messed up

Just did the world GT series in a detuned F1500TA and let me tell you, the first lap of the last race (Nurburgring) in the dark, with no lights was hairy.

It was around 450MB so small in file size but as above it took a while to copy and install like all Playstation patches. Cerny said it would be a thing if the past with the PS5 but apparently not. It’s as bad as it ever was.

Played for a few hours this morning omg I hate American cars they handle like boats. Did all gold in the first set of missions after being tired of the American cars cafe part.

What sort of PP or power levels are you all generally moving from sport tyres to race tyres in this game?

My Ford GT is around 700hp 700PP using Sport Softs, its fun to drive, but with the speed it gets up to, the brakes aren't great (Carbon upgrade). I think i'll put Race Hard tyres on when i use it again.

Interesting video if you are doing Daily Race B --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HUKP0WTiu8

When i was tuning my Supra for the race earlier in the week, i didn't go as extreme with the gearing, i think i put final drive at 230kph to hit the redline at around 140mph at the 100m brake board on the straight. I've won a couple more Group 4 cars now, so i may tune one of those as per the video and see how it gets on.

Thanks for this, been having some amazing races on Race C, looking forward to the new tracks next week!

No problem, i haven't tried Race C yet.

I had some good racing in Race B this week even in the slow'ish Supra (just under 2:09 was my best qualifying in the C|S bracket).

I've gone back to the Cafe Menu/Missions to get the remaining reward cars now.

Any tips for online races and tuning? It seems like every race I’m miles behind due to the cars rather than my performance. Is there anything/one to follow to keep up to date with car setups etc.

The F1500 makes light work of any of the 800pp races by the way

Thanks, ill give that a try when i get to them, thats the all gold prize car for the next set of missions im doing. A detuned Porsche 917 Living Legend was great in the 700pp races for the AMG cafe card.

I'm new to GT tuning, but in Forza i always liked to tune soft setups.

In GT7 I'm doing the same thing at the moment which is working ok.

Bumper Cam
Controller Sens 6
TCS 1

For FR, MR & RR cars, the following work alright, tried on upto 700pp cars so far (For AWD front diff 5 / 20 / 5)

Ride height around 100 / 105 (too low on the front doesn't give full steering lock on some cars)
ARB 1 / 1
Neg camber 3.0 / 1.5 (add more on rear for high downforce if you want the rear to turn in more)
Toe 0.05 in / 0.10 in
Diff Tor 5
Diff acc 20
Diff brake 10

I haven't messed with damping yet. Looking online some people do Min/Max ARB's, less neg camber with more on the rear and more toe in or rear. I'll hotlap at some point and see what its like in this game. Wasn't a fan in Forza's.

If you're tuning for a particular track, at least set the final drive up to max out on the longest straight.

Downforce more depending on which end you need more grip, both on min if the car is too slow in a straight line.
