This game is the reason I bought a PSP when they were released a few years ago! might have to pick up another one for this, tide me over until GT5.

That's running on a portable games console? Wow that is very impressive. Amazing how far we've come with hand held gaming......
What do you mean by this? Is GT psp going to require a certain firmware to even run?
He means his PSP is running illegal hacked firmware, and is worried that he won't be able to play GT as it will require him to update to legal firmware first.

just out of interest why? surely the game should work on all types of firmware, its the hardware it uses (Knows nothing about electronics really)

Yep GT PSP requires firmware 6.0 to run, and the only reason for this would be to hold back the custom firmware people. I for one wont be nerfing my psp for such a game
Tempted to grab the PSP Go for it though and keeping my 1000 model for all my other games, seems silly but hey im not paying national insurance anymore after this month so i might just splash out

Well thats a pain, means I can't play my old PS1 games on mine any more then I guess.... Although the main one is Gran Turismo 1.. which will be kinda obsolete with the PSP version. lol.
Guess that means I won't be able to play my old megadrive games too :/
(I actually have no idea how the cracking/firmware stuff works. I bought mine with it on knowing I'd be able to play sonic which I DO have a legit copy of!)

Tempted with a psp go for this so I can keep my PSP1000 as it is.
