*** Grand Theft Auto IV - In-Game Chat [Spoilers] ***

Loving the game so far! The is 1 little thing that baffles me though is that i can go 120mph head on into another car go flying out the windscreen 50ft and only lose a trickle of health, but cross the road and get slightly knocked by a car and lose half my health?!

Also i have noticed when trying to purchase ringtones and themes for my mobile it says "Not available on this model"! Im guessing your mobile gets upgarded later in the game so you can get a camera on it also to use the police computers?
 
I picked up a carbon black Ferrari that is now parked in my parking spot. Handling is awesome, I can just jump in and go for a cruise across the city, taking in the sights.

Roman is hilarious, I just hope he doesn't turn on you later, as was a common twist in previous GTAs.

I still haven't spotted a single pigeon.

Yeah I've been wondering when the mobile gets upgraded.
 
right gonna stop reading this thread now, although I read elsewhere about Michelle already - think I'm just spoiling too much for myself lol
(BTW I've heard people have splet with Michelle after second date, man thats dedication to the job :))

that ringtone is in the list of default ringtones on the first phone you get, you dont have to buy it


EDIT: oh wait, you dont mean the pager? you're talking about the menu music or something? i dont recall there being a specific theme for GTA 1 :(

Yeah I slept with her after the second date, then every subsequent date. Dirty bitch.
 
So far im liking this game a whole lot. Generally with these types of games i play for a while, then find it hard to come back to it later on, not so with this one!

Just done all of Brucies major missions, and the first race where he gives you a car. Done Mannys 2 missions and one for Elizabetha or whatever her name is. I'm around 21% done so far after 9 hours playing time. (it doesnt feel like i've been playing that long!)

In one of Manny's missions, i kept getting nailed when i tried to kill the dealers in the warehouse, so i threw my toys out of my pram and started the mission again. This time i got to the place, initiated the gun fight and tried to call the cops, hoping that they'd come around and take out the guys that were shooting me, but they wouldnt, there was apparently no cops in the area. :(

lmao, that really did make me laugh.
knowing what I do about her, if I do the do with her to get the achievment can I just not call/see her anymore? or do I have to carry on seeing the two-faced cow for mission/story progression?

Classic tune! When i was 10 when it came out i always let the song loop at the menu just to annoy my mum when he says "dont *** with me" :D
 
Damn - My PS3 keep locking up when trying to do the last Elizabeta mission. The cut scene ends and I go into a perpetual loading screen.... reset the console and tried it a few times - Really ****ing annoying, Grrrr...!!!! :(
 
I'm quite suspicious of Michelle also, she asks far too much questions and never says anything about what she does. My GF tried to kill her with fire (molotov) but she just got scared and made her own way home :(
