I don't hate it. Every time I have said it's a very good game but overhyped. As you said why would I play it so much and read about it is I hated it =/

How can it be overhyped if it scored so well? That to me, is living up to the hype!

Its fair to say the game is way over hyped, its without doubt been the most hyped game in history.

Its a great game, it is essentially the same game as we have already had with fancier pants on, to live up to the hype it should have been untouchable as a game with no peer.

Reviewers succumbing to the hype and overrating the game (ala Halo 3 and Bioshock) is most definitely evidence of overhyping. Plus every early review will have a very high score if they want to keep the rights to review games early.

I'm wondering the same, and will probably just make a gut decision on the spot.
Wish I could have the best of both worlds :/

+PS3: Preloading to HD for less texture/model pop-in
+PS3: Quieter machine
+PS3: Reliable (although my drive laser has died once, unit was replaced)
-PS3: Cant bear the god awful sixaxis controller. Especially as GTA will cause some lengthy gaming sessions

+360: Xbox live
+360: Far better controller (and rumble)
+360: (Personal) I have more friends on XBL over PSN
+360: DLC in the future
-360: Loud
-360: RROD'ing during GTA would throw me into blind rage

How does the multiplayer stand up to say COD4? Is it as addicitive and well balanced?
