When a texture loads just as your going past it. e.g. A big building is supposed to be infront of you, but you cant see it because it hasn't loaded, but then all of a sudden it appears.
Driving along then buildings / areas appear from nowhere and are only actually about 20 secs down the road.

I've been playing the 360 version and haven't noticed pop up that bad, to be honest I haven't really noticed any and I'd definitely notice it if it was as bad as that .gif that was posted.
I know the area shown in that gif and have driven through there loads of times, that's never happened.
I'm still picking up the PS3 version tomorrow though

It could just be that some dvd drives are not streaming the data from the dvd as well as they should be. I can imagine a few 360's being sent back due to dead drives over the next few weeks.
I think that hits the nail on the head about the pop-ups. Can't people just enjoy the game for what its worth
Indeed I am. Its a dump but still next month is the last yay!
Forestside closes at 9pm, but the big chain supermarket is open 24hrs. I doubt that the other stores will be open unless there is enough people willing to go at midnight.

Damn.. Do I go to a midnight release, pick it up tonight and do an all nighter? Or do I wait and pickup my reserved copy in the morning?

I'm sure it's completely off topic, and not even slightly related to people complaining of popup.. but some DVD drives struggle to read cheap DVDRs or ones written at high speed... like I said.. totally off topic

So long as mine arrives tomorrow, I'm happy. Last time I order from those jokers, though, lying about despatch dates is just plain unacceptable.
Still waiting on the postman although I don't have high hopes. Will be going out later tonight with a friend to a supermarket to get a copy, I might just buy one then and there. Don't know if I can wait 10 hours
