*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Not sure how you lot are saying the musics crap.

Radio X lineup:

* Helmet - "Unsung"
* Depeche Mode - "Personal Jesus"
* Faith No More - "Midlife Crisis"
* Danzig - "Mother"
* Living Colour - "Cult of Personality"
* Primal Scream - "Movin' On Up"
* Guns N' Roses - "Welcome to the Jungle"
* L7 - "Pretend We're Dead"
* Ozzy Osbourne - "Hellraiser"
* Soundgarden - "Rusty Cage"
* Rage Against the Machine - "Killing in the Name"
* Jane's Addiction - "Been Caught Stealing"
* The Stone Roses - "Fools Gold"
* Alice in Chains - "Them Bones"
* Stone Temple Pilots - "Plush"

I mean thats amazing!

Agreed, in fact I'm a little worried about IV's soundtrack.

Wonder if we'll be able to do anything ala the PC version and maybe import X music files to a "Custom" radio station?

I know we can just network stream which would be paused at times of cutscenes etc.. but thats not the same :D

TBH, all the music in SA (apart from soul or whatever it was) rocked.

I have to say that SA was the most rewarding to play, so much to see and do. I still dabble in it almost 3 years after I first bought it.

If IV turns out better gameplay wise, not just graphically, I'll be very happy. Although I'm slightly dreading the lack of planes and smaller scale map compared to what I became so used to in SA.

After complaining about my shipping date of between 7-13th of May in the last thread before it's deletion, I should point out that I still don't have anything to play the game on! :o :D

Totally agree, i dont want to play a game where every other word is dawg ...... Its a pity because the features, setting and everything were excellent.

eh ? how can you like the setting but then not like the characters speaking how they would do in that setting

it wouldn't make sense if it was set in early 90s compton and they all spoke like posh english chaps would it ?

as for the music i loved the VC music but the SA music had way more depth too it. something for everyone on there

I think SA was great, I don't particularly like rap and all that stuff but the humor is what made me play through to the end. The writing was really great and I don't think GTAIV will be any different :)

You're the second to say. I said I didn't like it in this thread already and in the past I said it sucked for the reasons you mentioned.

Yes, but later on you get to kill (most) of them (the annoying ones at least :D).

Without getting fanboyish, I'll happily say that SA was the best game I ever played wince Mario World on the SNES. I loved every minute of it.

I meant the world, Las Venturas was amazing, San Fierro was amazing and Los Santos was amazing. Just because I didn't like the story, just traveling around the world was a great experience. I played it a couple of weekends back and it still felt as good as it did back then. Swooping in and out of the sky scrapers of San Fierro in the fighter jet was always my favorite.
