*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Yes, but later on you get to kill (most) of them (the annoying ones at least :D).

Without getting fanboyish, I'll happily say that SA was the best game I ever played wince Mario World on the SNES. I loved every minute of it.

Ditto. All the GTA games have been about a rise to riches, so the background story of a ghetto "kid" rising to the top was the ideal setting for the series.

Vice City was just Scarface. Which isn't even a very good movie. :/

Also, how can you dislike the idea of SA but like the idea of IV, a Polish immigrant commiting crime as soon as he arrives in the country. Its like an England-Simulator. :p

Dan Houser is a brilliant video game writer, taking into account aspects and ideas from all the great films from the genres and he's just gotten better with every release.

It's not released officially, I have already said that two major chains in my area have NOT received such a letter and aren't selling until the 29th. A ton of guys still haven't got their games, which means the principle of calling off discussion about the actual events in the game still stands.

Because it's showing gameplay footage which isn't legal prior to the games release.

I don't understand why overclockers would care, but I'll take it down anyway.

It's a blatant fake.

How do you go about creating the fictional brands and adverts that you use in the game?

Aaron Garbut: These things come from all over the place. We have a design department that heads this stuff up, organises it, dishes it out to the artists, and works with everyone and anyone to produce it. A lot of it they come up with themselves, a lot comes from the radio ads and shows, every so often an email will be sent out looking for ideas for businesses or slogans which always ends up degenerating into pictures of cats and diarrhoea for some reason. But ideas come from all those places.

Very cool. Makes you realise how good the games were to oversee some of those. The pop-up for example, never detracted me from enjoying the game. But watching the video in that article, it was really really bad!!

Cheers for the link :)

Im pretty sure those must be PS2. Its not that bad on PC. Id go so far as to say its unplayable, really shoddy.
