Does anyone else think that the car engine is too loud relative to the radio stations? You can turn down the sfx but that also turns down character voices, foot steps etc. Struggling to find the right balance on the sliders at the moment.

I think they're using proper dvd type dolby 5.1 or something because my receiver normally plays dvd's quieter and gta4 is the first game where i've had to turn up the sound to dvd levels.

What guns are ppl using most of the time? Me personally am using the pistol and shotgun, as i think the others are more inaccurate, i miss the old SA way of doing it, build xp so they are more accurate and dual wield.

Also 1 funny/not so funny moment was driving along in the prosche type car, the only 1 i had and noticed i could throw nades while drving, so of course i threw 1 and blew the back half of my car off

I use the AK47. The overly simplified game mechanics annoy me too.

Got some shots from my 360, not the best of examples I know.

I think it looks cracking :D

What setup you using mate? 1080p? HDMI? I got a sammy and yours looks sharper.

What TV settings you using?

Think i might try 720p and see if it looks any sharper

Yep set to 720P, I’ve got an Elite connected via HDMI to my PS50Q97HDX 50" Plasma :) Settings will no doubt be different to yours but I use;

Mode: Standard
Contrast: 89
Brightness: 60
Sharpness: 5
Coulor: 50
Tint: 50
Colour Tone: Cool1

And all the features turned off, which results in a superb picture :D

ive found the auto aim to be really hit and miss at times. sometimes when you tap the right stick left or right to gun down the next cop/bystander/shopkeeper or whatever, it doesnt always target them and you have to let go of aim, position the camera over a bit and re-aim.

annoying

yep, I never use auto aim as it's complete rubbish in GTA4.

I love the cover system when it works, too often you get sucked into the wrong cover and everything goes **** up. Then someone flanks you and the auto aim locks onto completely the wrong guy leaving you screwed. In this respect I think Saints row offers much less frustration and possibly more fun with its shooting mechanics despite the lack of a dedicated 'cover' system. In general though the interior gunfights in GTA 4 have been fantastic fun outside it goes a bit wiffy imo.

haha i know the feeling

your winning a fight so you come out of cover, go to hide behind a box, hide on the wrong side, and get nailed by a guy standing right next to you with a 12 gauge.
