Always switches for me. Don't think I've ever died or failed a mission due to the auto aim anyway. You just have to learn how to control it along with the camera. I think it's great, especially being able to shoot people in the head or legs etc. :)

Well after spending all of yesterday uming and ahing about whether to get GTAIV I decided to get it (this was spurred on by the fact I put a screwdriver into my finger and can't play oblivion properly :rolleyes:)

Anyway what can I say that probably hasn't already been said.

Its looks gorgeous (overall (when you take into account scale and the actual amount that is happening on screen) probably the best looking game yet. The gameplay feels spot on although the driving and shooting are taking some getting used to. The story seems excellent although I havn't got very far into it despite spending too many hours playing it today.

I can't wait to open up the rest of the city to play around in.

One thing that does dissapoint me though is that the theme park is all closed up. It would have been pretty cool given all the other mini games available to be able to interact with some of the attractions.

Probably the only downer I can forsee at the moment is the fact I bought it on the 30 rather than the PS3. I say this only because my 360 is so damn noisy in comparison to my PS3.

I always thought it would open up at some point in the story :( Even the map teases you about not being able to ride the roller coaster lol

Edit: Oh and a crazy golf mini game would have been awesome!
 
Got it Friday and been playing it since. What a game ! all that can be said! I do hve a couple of questions though. Do at any point do you get better flats? only about 25% in and still living in a Sh%t hole ! :p Also the clothing is a little lame, guess i got used to San Andreas, clothing more my style ! ;)
 
Anyone else having the issue of when standing in front of a vehicle and you want to lock onto the driver, you just can't as it'll flick you to some ped on the sidewalk?
 
You guys know that you can hold the right trigger down slightly to get manual aim if you still want to keep auto aim turned on, best of both worlds.

Noo you don't say!?!, i mean it says it in the manual and the map and also the game ever minute, but now you've said it, it all seems clear!

I haven't had a problem with that. The only slight niggle I have with it is when switching targets. It works fine 95% of the time but sometimes it doesn't switch so I have to stop targetting and then target again. Otherwise, works flawlessly for me.
