*** Grand Theft Auto IV - The Official Thread ***

Or maybe you'll do the same thing you seem to have with SA. Played for a couple of hours and dismissed the game on the background story and initial characters, despite it being the best in the series in all respects once you get to know the city, characters and little details. ;)

I didn't like the music, I wasn't keen on the environment, I wasn't taken in by the story to begin with. It's like I heard about Resistance, it's good after 'x' point. I don't want to play through something I don't like to get to something I do.

I loved GTA3 and GTA: Vice City, so it's nothing against the series.

you didnt ? well not on san andreas.

i cant see how not liking the music was even possible when there was so many different types to choose !

Welcome to the Jungle was cool, as were a couple of others. But the majority wasn't my cup of tea. The majority in Vice City for example, were.

Firstly everyone says they arn't then the next day they are, this is the joy of the internet. Im happy with what I know and will post up anything significant. This thread is just a bit tame now considering all people can talk about is what they want/think they can do, and what they think of the poor official trailers released.
That's all you've ever been allowed to do.

There is a guy streaming him playing the game on the web and he is taking requests from people for things to do. Quite amusing, again though, wish I hadn't watched it in a way.

That's why I've avoided it like the plague. I know very little of what's in the game, what music is in the game, what the back story is, what the overall graphics are like, what it looks like in game play, what you can do in Multi player etc...

I think I'll enjoy all the game more for it. It's hard to get caught up in the hype machine if you can avoid it. And it's been quite hard to avoid this one for so long, so I can certainly avoid looking at stuff this close to release.

Thanks for posting the manual einstein, that would have been a nice surprise.

It's the only real way to prove, irrefutably that he owns the game. People can fake a cover or label, but faking a manual isn't really possible. It was also asked and will be from now on for all new console releases.
