6 weeks in total for my Asus RMA. Not too bad and new card in place of my old one.
I think that's terrible, well compared to the others. At least my spreadsheet is fairly accurate lol.

I'll update it with that info, thanks. :)

Would you buy Asus next time? I suppose it's not too bad if you have SLI cards, can still play games with just the one while you wait till the world ends for your RMA to come back. :)

Yer, I would buy Asus again, they are generally good quality but that was slow.

From what people have said, it isn't unusual either. Even though I run Asus cards at the moment, if I had to buy right now it would be Gigabyte after the last two returns were quick, painless and to UK addresses.

I've got a failed Gainward GTX 680 in it's second year (Bought from OC in May 2012).

OC are telling me I need to contact Gainward and Gainward haven't responded to an email from last Friday (or to the two others I've sent chasing)...

Hi there

I've negotiated with Gainward some special terms for OcUK:-

  1. Very aggressive pricing, so great pricing on Gainward cards, including Phantom models.
  2. Express 48hr RMA service with OcUK in the 2yr warranty period. If your card goes faulty, we shall endeavour to have it swapped out or refunded within 48hrs.
  3. Removing heatsink/cooler will not void your warranty with OcUK or Gainward.
  4. OcUK customers service of course, which is the best, plus these forums.
Let us know how you get on.

Great work there Nelly. Lets see them weasel out of that one lol.
Lol cheers, speaking of RMA, I'm fuming!! I received a MSI GTX 780ti Gaming, the box had no selophane (these come sealed), and the box was torn, some minimal scratches, obviously someone had DSR it!

Went mad on phone to ????, and the admited it had already been sent to a previous customer! Anyway got offered either a £20 discount to keep, or they would arrange courier to collect, so that's what am doing. Grr!! :(

Blimey thats poor. Was that OcuK? What was wrong with your previous 780?

That wouldn't sit well with me either and I would want a new one. If someone has DSR'd something, I would say there was a reason and that could be a poor clocker/faulty, so would make me very weary. £20 is a bit of an insult as well.

Nah it was another company, but it was the best price I had ever seen any custom 780ti on a one day deal.

I was a total muppet selling my 780 to be honest, my next screen will probally be the Eizo Floris FG2421 @ 1080p so it would have been easily good enough.

I might just get another 780 or 290 once I've got my money back, probally a blessing in disguise, 780ti/290x isn't really worth the premium at 1080p.

I was curious if the card actually worked, so tested and it did, 60% ASIC - topped out at 1197MHz on Heaven max without resorting to custom BIOS, I'm guessing the previous purchaser sent it back just because of that.

They did offer to send me another, I was very tempted but was weary it could happen again. Think I would rather pay an extra £30+ knowing I'll actually get a brand new one from somewhere else.

At the end of the day, you pay the cash you expect something brand new, not second hand with a bashed torn box, and scratched card. I did contemplate keeping it, but it's the principal of it.

Now I'll have to wait another week for the readies to be put back in the bank. :(

Yeah makes sense. I'd DSR it if i was you. Make them cover the postage and keep the £20.

Updated the first page, mainly EVGA details >> http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18231329

Web links below the table for manufacturer's RMA support, if their is any.

thanks for the updates. We did again a small one on the Step Up program. If you register the card within the first 14 days of purchase you do get the step up option for free, if you register afterwards you need to purchase a extended warranty which will then transfer on the step up card once it is registered
