Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [12th - 17th March 2022]

Surely Arsenal supporters are only having a go at the ref to protect the mess in between their own goalposts.

Edit: Love the fact Matip’s finally getting the constant recognition his stupidly high level deserves.

Give what a rest? Im stating facts.

Practically undressing him is a fact? At least 2 times in the first half both commentators said it wasn't a foul then you get Partey penalised for someone running into his hand.

I think you'll find it was brought up before our goalkeeper messed up....

During times of war and a team in the league affected by sanctions there's only one option left.

Null and void the season before anything worse happens.

Would have been nice if that went in. Deserve a goal for the performance overall, but won’t get it. Oh well back to 0 on the streak, have to start a new one.

Arsenal fans expectations have dropped massively. We were absolutely garbage in that first half and Arsenal didnt lay a glove. The second half was like a training game, absolutely dominated by Liverpool.

Ran into his hand or Partey putting his hand on Firminos face? See how you can switch it?

The fact was that Salah never ever gets given a foul and that again was proved right tonight. At one point you kicked him twice in his ankle whilst holding his shirt and nothing given. The ref was absolutely fine.

We’re the youngest team in the league, a work progress who a couple of years ago were at our lowest ebb. We’ll have over-achieved if we get 4th this season, you or City are competing to absolutely walk the league every season.

Have you seen the last few seasons? We've been awful and consistently beaten by the top 6 teams. We were the better team in the first half although all our attempts got blocked and should have scored before you did in the second half. It's improvement. Absolutely dominated is a bit of a stretch.

You can switch it if you ignore what actually happened. Yes that was one occasion you should have had a foul, you had many that shouldn't have been though.

Every game going forward now is winnable with the way we’re playing. Both City and Liverpool games out of the way and we’re still a point ahead with 2 games in hand.

It could be a lot worse.

I’m hoping Chelsea suffer from all the bus rides but even though there’s a bunch of hard fixtures coming up I think we might be able to do it as long as we don’t lose anyone important to injuries or have to rotate too much, as the depth isn’t there. I’d have been happy just getting back into the EL this season, that we actually have a shout at top 4 is a pleasant surprise!

Those 2 games in hand are chelsea and spurs. Spurs will fall apart as normal I would expect but Chelsea will probably get 3 points. I'm just trying to say that those 2 games in hand dont count for much when they're up against top of the table sides.
