Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 19th January 2023]

Saying you’ll no longer watch matches is the football equivalent of waking up with a hangover and swearing you’re never drinking again

:p Yep. Humans are excellent at recovering from trauma and downplaying it even a few days later. Maundie will recover from this and come back stronger to be outraged another day.

After Arsenal next week we will have played both City and Arsenal twice. If we beat Arsenal and they lose to Spurs it will be very tight indeed! Not to mention both Arsenal and City have to play each other twice so points will be dropped.

Our remaining 3 big fixtures are Chelsea at home, Liverpool and Spurs Away. The rest are winnable games with 8 of them at home and 6 away.
Yeah and if you come the emirates and lose then its a diff story isnt it

Amazing everyone in here talking like arsenal gonna be losing a load of games coming up when were the inform team in the prem

Its a joke how pundits and the like still question our credentials but let it continue

We was falling apart when jesus got injured, eddie wont score goals etc etc

Delusional

you were denied 1 stonewall penalty mate, the second one was never a penalty and if it was given the other way you would still be whinging about it now.

I think his point is still quite valid. Its not bias or cheating, its poor refereeing 99% of the time. Suggesting its bias or cheating is silly.

On an unrelated topic. What has happened to the Nordic goal yeti? Have teams realised that if you can stifle De Bruyne you kind of get a 2 for 1 and Haaland is also largely nullified? After his start to the season hes having a bit of a mare.

To be fair we do have a lot of previous and it's a young inexperienced team.

I think we'll win tomorrow anyway so that'll be 8 points clear and room to drop a few points.

What a turnaround, from losing 6-3 to this.

Gut feel is that our first goal was offside but I can't say I know enough about the rules to be sure. It's about time some luck went out way. It's been a while since I've watched City play, they don't half drop to the floor easily, I guess Pep has them drilled to win as many as fouls as possible.

Also pretty good result for an interesting title race, need Arsenal to drop off a bit as although City were somewhat 'robbed' today, they were genuinely turd

What a bizarre post.

It's the same as everyone has the right to question United's credentials. When was the last time either team won the EPL? How many players in either team have won the EPL?

And you call them delusional?

I really don't see us getting top four.

I wouldn't be surprised to see top four stay as it is now. As in teams in there, I still don't see arsenal winning title but certainly see them in top 4 somewhere.

The sharp drop off is my concern, I get the midfielder players are older, long season last season too however to drop so much is bizarre.
Henderson has been in decline for a few seasons, fabinho is shockingly out of form and Thiago isn't someone that gives you any stamina in the middle

Liverpool will finish top 6. No matter how poor their midfield they will score plenty of goals. TAA and Robertson still provide them with plenty of ammo.
