Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 8th May 2023]

This is the first time i really am annoyed at ten Hag. Ok DeGea threw one in the net but we've been awful again in the second half of a game. No energy, no creativity and no impact from substitutions. Another timid performance redolent of Ole ball

He really needs to sort this mess out. It cannot be all on the players being tired. Can Martinez and Varane being out effect everything so much? The team just looks really disjointed and we don't seem to be able to score a goal at all. Casemiro has been totally absent the past month as well as many other players.

The thing is, we had a spell a few months ago of playing well, winning a lot of games and the squad looked confident.

What exactly has changed since then? We looked genuinely decent for the first time in ages.

Back to the usual garbage now.

I get people saying look at what has been spent and you can't blame the Glazers, but that is just spectacularly naive and shows a complete lack of understanding of how football works.

Just watched the sky highlights and going by that it seems that west ham did a real smash and grab job as it was all man u? Oh and raise a glass to howard webb's influence again in not awarding a penalty to west ham :)

But Carragher does have a point. The signing of Antony when you didnt have a proper striker to then sign Weghurst is just laughable.

Weghorst has been explained above. The Glazers wouldn't sanction a signing due to the sale situation and we urgently needed cover for Martial. It's not like there are loads of strikers available and our scouting network appears to be non-existent.

Antony doesn't look a great buy at present but he's not the reason the team are suddenly rubbish, we were playing well not all that long ago.

I watched it live and West Ham had loads of chances and probably the better ones too
