Prime Fergie would struggle to sort this mess out.

Well. it took Fergie nearly three years to sort it out from the mess that he took over from Ron Atkinson. He had to smash the big time charlie drinking culture and rebuild the club. Problem for United is that no-one since him has either had the minerals, nouse or backing to do the same with this squad. He's made the best stab so far but clearly the club is so dysfunctional that knowing what to do is not enough. Anyway - congratulations to de Zerbi and Brighton. They were better on every level and as United fans we should acknowledge that and hope we can learn some lessons from a well run club.

The club does need some form of stability, especially now.
