Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [16th - 18th September 2023]

Anyone got the gif of ole as Austin powers getting the vehicle stuck trying to turn around, slap ten hags head on it and its just as apt today as back then

United’s issues have been there for a long long time, the league positions have been masking it really.

When was the last time you saw United dominate teams consistently?

Oh, it’s been ages. But to be fair, your team are really great these days. Really enjoyable to watch. :)

Think my biggest concern is Casemiro. He was the stand-out player last season in the majority of games and really saved us at times. Just has not turned up this season so far, looks so off the pace. Hopefully having Amrabat in beside him will help

Blimey, that was Brighton's 4th successive win over Utd

Yeah if you exclude the cup game we have only beat them once in the last 6 games.

Never the less it is more heat for the Manchester United pressure cooker. I thought things were heading in the right direction with the sale but looks like that isn't happening either.

Plus all these injuries and it is just a right mess at the moment.

The whole Sancho and Antony situation isn't helping either as I am sure Sancho is friends with many of the players so tension is going to be there between the players and manager.

Even Arsenal are not a banter club anymore. We are the only ones left.

I was about to say at least we got done at home by a good side rather than Sheffield Utd..... then saw the spurs updates

I think ETH is a decent manager, but the club around him is an absolute shambles and has been for years.

No manager is going to come in and improve things, the problems are deeper.

Agreed you cannot make a successful team when the foundations are just so shockingly bad.

We are basically the same as Everton with regards to owners and the way it is run. It is just we have more revenue to play with. Although saying that at least Everton are getting a new stadium.

I thought United should have been second this year. As I said the other week ETH isn't lasting the season. Again, no one has gone better under him. Lampard got stick on here for throwing players under the bus, questioning desire, fitness and ambition. ETH gets a pass for it. He's done, not many clubs these days favour the manager over a 70m asset. ETH will be binned and the 'new slate' statement comes out.
