Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 17th September 2012]

Just seen Welbeck's dive. It looks like the campest dive ever in slow motion. I used to really like Welbeck. He showed enough promise earlier in his career, but he seems to have not improved at all in the last year or so. Needs to do so quickly.

Liverpool dominating a game and losing, 'I'm shocked' - Said no one ever.

Quite clearly contact on Suarez but he booted the ball out of play, not a pen, not a dive. Bit like Park vs us at OT in 09.

We're now paying the price for poor management on and off the pitch over the last few seasons. We're in big trouble.

Borini's done absolutely nothing in the first few games to convince me it's not more money wasted.

Edit: And all the people that said Suarez should play as a striker are being proved wrong yet again. He's not a striker, he's never been a striker and will never be a striker.

Must be fantastic being one of our old rivals watching us like this, our new ones in the relegation battle must enjoy it as well.

Suarez booked for diving after being fouled. Nice.

He's going to be the boy who cried wolf forever now I'm afraid. Pretty much like Ronaldo was at Manu. After a while people could just get away with fouling him all day long.

Hopefully there's a lesson learned there for all young footballers.

That's not much praise though really is it? He started off in the sewer and has now reached the gutter, still **** all told :p

What?
That's a penalty you idiots.

Is it a penalty if the player kinda boots the ball out of play and is happy to take the foul (which it clearly was but Suarez wasn't going anywhere with the ball.)? Genuine question, would seem like it is but a bit of a cheap tactic.

EDIT: If people think BRodgers is a favourite for the sack race, and our owners also think that you're as dumb as each other.

Lol Brendan would have been better off just asking for Swansea FC to be renamed Liverpool FC. He would have had a better team, and it seems like his strategy was just to buy some of the better Swansea players before the transfer window closed, then attempting to play the same tactics.

Kenny tried to do something that would have worked in the 70s 80s or 90s which was buy up promising English players. The flaw with that plan was that the quality of English players has gone downhill sharply since the last time he was a manager. They are mostly one dimensional now but still overpriced because they are English.
