LOL at my missus.. just put on football first, presenter does her intro ended with "plus some important matches regarding the bottom of the table", she pipes up with "Who, Arsenal?" :D

Or it's a damning indictment, because it shows he built a team for short term success?

Mourinho has managed Chelsea, Inter and Real since he left Porto. Three teams with some of the most ruthless ownership in world football. Short term success is absolutely all you can aim for because if you dont achieve it you are down the road faster than you can say "left by mutual consent".

He cant be blamed for a lack of legacy when he is constantly working in an environment that demands instant success.

Just seen about the Suarez stuff, if its true then he's an even bigger ****ing **** than I thought!

The racist claims by Evra? Doesn't he have a track record of lying about this stuff? (Chelsea groundsmen, Finnan?) Unless I'm getting him mixed up with someone else.

Its ok, Evra will get a 5 game ban regardless.

In all seriousness its not a claim that should be made lightly and perverse as it sounds i hope its true because its not something that should be made up.

As a United fan i was embarrassed by Evras card waving today too. No need for that no matter how blatant the dive may be.

One thing I've never really understood is why card-waving is such a despised antic on these shores, I'm not saying it is pretty but in my eyes it is no worse than appealing for any other decision the ref may or may not choose to give.

That said I thought it was ****ing hilarious a week or two back, can't remember what game think it might have been a European match, guy waves the imaginary card and the ref gets out the yellow and shows it to the guy who was appealing for it, have some of that you **** :)

edit: As for the game I thought it was a bit strange leaving all three of Rooney, Nani and Hernandez out, arguably MUs biggest threats last season and they were obviously fit considering they came on as subs.

IIRC it was viewers that complained about Finnan not Evra himself, not sure anyone can claim to know what went on between Evra and the Chelsea ground staff either

EDIT: yep it was viewers

Regardless I doubt anyone is surprised by Suarez if it is found to be true, the guys utter scum (IMO of course)

Getting the foul should be the aim. Getting the player booked just looks embarrassing.

Theres no need for it.

10 seconds later the player waving the imaginary card could foul another player and will want to escape a booking.

Just leave it to the ref to deal with.

Said the same thing earlier. If you're going to try and get a player booked or sent off, at least admit to it. I remember Ferdinand's comments after the Utd - Liverpool FA Cup game last season; he was accused of trying to get Gerrard sent off but he denied it and said he just told the ref it was a 2 footed tackle. I've got less of a problem with what Evra done than Ferdinand.
