Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 19th October 2011]

If Suarez called Evra a "black ****" (for example) because he is black then he is racist.

If he did it because he plays for the opposing football team then he is just observant.

All you have to do is look at Evra's nationality. Great player but Trouble maker, reminds me of a black French Gary Neville wanting power.

I was on about his revolt when Rio got banned and got the England players to play up.

But placeholder you are a true football fan....hahaha, what team do to support at the weekend on the stands?

Of course you were, cos being black and french was relevant to that.....

You worry about getting your story straight, dont worry about me.

I would love City to win the league, if mancini can manage to juggle all those egos all year long then fair play to him. I'd love them to do it with Tevez on the bench.

One thing I've never really understood is why card-waving is such a despised antic on these shores, I'm not saying it is pretty but in my eyes it is no worse than appealing for any other decision the ref may or may not choose to give.

I have been arguing with a mate about this for ages, he seems to think it is the most disgraceful thing he has ever seen. I don't see the problem with it, do people who complain about it understand that the waving of an imaginary card does not actully count as a yellow?:p

The other day i ws being pulled all over the place by this guy and eventually he dragged me back as i was getting away from him, so went to the ref and said "are you gonna give him a card then?"(i am very polite).
I don't see any differece, and i don't see anything wrong with it personally. If you have been wronged, you want the offender to be punished, who wouldn't, if for no other reason than to stop him doing it again.

With all the talk of dives, red cards, pens and accusations of racist comments, nobody mentioned Adam's run which led to the free-kick for our goal. The Scottish Messi!

Dont even get me started on that fraud.

We will revisit the sham that is Charlie Adam (not Adams) at the end of the season.

Henderson will be a proper player and Adam will be confined to his rightful place......

A pro shouldnt be trying to get a fellow pro booked IMO.

Why though? I really don't understand peoples problem with it. Seems perfectly natural to me to want someone punished if they have done you wrong.
If i have somoene constantly fouling me and such i make sure the ref is aware of it, if nothing else it makes sure it is always on his mind.

OK thats your opinion. I just dont think its right. If the foul has been given its not up to the player to try an influence the ref.

Its just my opinion. I didnt like Evra doing it so i'll say it.

Dont bring race or colour into this you little wind up merchant.

Never mention him being black, he is a **** house like the whole French team from 2010 and the pathetic the Union team showed today.

I aint even mad, this is me right now

The ref deals with the dive. A pro shouldnt be trying to get a fellow pro booked IMO. Maybe its a moot point but its a bit too direct for my liking.

That's fair enough if referees do their jobs properly, but with so many dodgy referees these days I can see why players are asking for divers to be booked.
