He certainly has plenty of form.

Are Rooney and Nani racist too?
edit: Oh and Evra claims that Marriner was aware of the racist remarks. I wonder why he didn't send Suarez off? Maybe Marriner's racist too.
Whats the Rooney and Nani comment about? Sorry i dont understand.
I wouldnt trust Marriner to put 6 eggs in an egg box TBH.
It seems simple to me. If a racist comment was made to Evra with the intent to be racist the full force of punishment should fall on Suarez. If Evra is making it up then the same punishment should fall on Evra.
No one wants to see racism in football. It shouldnt be a club v club issue where we defend the player who plays for our club. The guilty party one way or the other should be punished IMO.
The implication that because Suarez can be an arse on the pitch, that it wouldn't be a surprise that he's made racist comments. By the same reasoning would you (Tom) be surprised if either Rooney or Nani have made racist comments too?
I agree entirely with what you've said regarding punishment given to either Suarez or Evra depending on whether the comments were made. Unfortunately if Suarez is found not to have said anything, Evra won't be punished though.
Considering Evra's history of making **** up when it comes to the race situation, and also considering how wound up he was on the pitch over nothing, if i was forced to bet my house it would be that Evra's just got his pants in a twist and made it up, again.
Well he should be. Its akin to "crying rape" in football terms. A bit dramatic but you get the point.
I would hope that Evra wouldnt say these things unless they were true. I also recognise that Suarez is not whiter than white in his behaviour in the past. That doesnt make him guilty here though.
Its a horrible allegation either way.
The problem is that while it's difficult to prove that Suarez said anything, it's near impossible to prove that he didn't say anything. If there is video evidence clearly showing Suarez making a racist remark then he'll be punished however if in the video you can't make out what he's said, how do you prove that Evra's made it up?
And being a Liverpool fan would have NO basis on that point of view?!
Suarez has no past history of doing the wrong thing? You didnt take much of that into account?!
It shouldnt be a club v club issue as i said.
No brainer.
You should never totally ignore an accusation like this but because this isn't the first time Evra's accused somebody only for them to be cleared, it's difficult to pay too much attention to him.

On the other hand, as i've already mentioned.
If everyone's aware of it, like Evra claims, why is he the only one making any noises?
Considering the rivalry between Utd and Liverpool, it would have blown up in a big way, probably on the pitch.
As I said, it's near impossible to prove that Evra lied, if he did. Unless the full exchange was caught on camera and can clearly be understood by lip-readers then you can't conclusively say Evra lied. If it wasn't and can't, then Evra can simply say it was missed by the camera or similar. The waters are getting muddied here.
People get cleared of things all the time. The burder of proof exists in one direction - just ask Foxy Knoxy.
The point is that we have a scenario that is a serious accusation. If Evra is lying why did he pick now to lie? I dont know.
I would like to see some conclusive evidence one way or another which would see *someone* punished.
I cant argue that at all.
I havent seem much about the story though so its hard to comment.
I REALLY hope Evra isnt spinning a yarn here though , just cos i like him as a player. Probably for the same reasons you guys hope he is cos you like Suarez.

I'm not sure of the incidents or whether they include either or both the Finnan/Chelsea groundsmen incidents, but several people are reporting that Evra's accused 3 players in the past only for them to be cleared.
